Films are something that I wish I were more educated on, I’d love to be a real film buff and know everything about all the different genres and directors but I just don’t have the attention span to sit down and watch a film anymore. Secretly I can only really really enjoy a film if I’ve seen it before. Perhaps it’s because I’m a creature of habit or perhaps it’s because I love knowing exactly what’s going to happen but when I find a film I really love, I could sit down and watch it a million times over without getting bored.
Lost in Translation is one of those beautiful films that I find very easy to watch again and again. Perhaps it’s the gorgeous cinematography or the lovely and unlikely relationship that develops between Bob and Charlotte that makes it so captivating, but whatever it is, it’s something special.
I think we've all had those moment where we 'want to be found'. When you long to meet that someone who will finally understand you & want to know you. That someone does exist and you might just find them in the place you'd least expect to, but, it won't always end up like the final few sentences of a fairy tale no matter how hard you wish it could. But that's the beauty of life; it's unpredictable, unique and something that shouldn't be wasted.
