October Favourites.

Blimey, it's November already which is super exciting because it means it's almost Christmas. Yes, I am one of those people who gets holiday season excitement far too early! October whizzed past and I spent it mainly either at work or chained to my laptop with Uni work so it's not been the most exciting month make up wise, but here are my favourites!

The last couple of weeks have been stressful for a number of reasons and my skin had started misbehaving until I began using the Good Things Five Minute Facial face mask regularly. I normally use this once or twice a week for 5 minutes at a time to give my skin a boost. It draws out impurities and leaves the skin so soft and visibly clearer and brighter. I have no idea what I'd do without this now, I love it!

Another firm favourite skincare product of mine is the Neal's Yard Chamomile Cleanser. This is a really gorgeous product that I apply to dry skin and then remove with a warm muslin cloth. As much as I adore make up, I love taking it off at night because I think that clean fresh skin feeling is just lovely! This is gentle enough to use on your eyes and it removes even heavy waterproof mascara so I no longer use a separate eye make up remover. This is the Neal's Yard product I would recommend to everyone looking to try the brand for the first time, or to those looking for a cream cleanser. It's beautiful.

Healthy Mix from Bourjois is now the only foundation I use. Admittedly foundations aren't my make up weakness so I don't buy a lot of them but I just love this one. Foundations like Revlon ColourStay are far too heavy for my liking now so this is beautiful. It has a medium coverage that is buildable and it's so easy to apply with the ELF studio powder brush. The lightest shade is a good match for my practically transparent skin tone and it instantly makes me look more awake in the mornings which I definitely need help with! I will repurchase this over and over!

The Eyes Lips Face mineral eye primer is a new addition to my make up collection but I have no idea what I've done without it before now. I'd been looking at more expensive eye primers for a while but I was never willing to spend lots of money on one, I guess it's just not a pretty product! I wasn't convinced this would do anything to help my shadows stay on longer but this really is amazing - I can now wear eyeshadow without it melting off within a few hours, it's a miracle! At £3.50 I would recommend everyone give this a go, even if you have super oily eyelids like I do!

Another new addition to my collection is one of the Eyes Lips Face cream liners in the shade gunmetal. Pencil liner doesn't stay on my lids, I'm crap at applying liquid liner so I thought I'd give one of these a try. My verdict? I LOVE it. Once this is on, it does not budge which on my oily lids, is amazing. The ELF primer and this liner are among my favourite purchases lately. Great quality for such affordable prices!

As the weather gets colder my addiction to buying lipbalms gets worse but I've found one I just adore. I think the outer packaging said this was a limited edition, I'm not sure if it's referring to the pretty pink design on the tube or the actual product, but I'm hoping it's not the product itself because I love it and I want it around forever. To me this smells exactly like swizzle double lollies which are amazing and it gives a pretty subtle pink sheen to the lips which is nice when lipsticks are off the agenda if you have dry lips. This lives in my bag now on a permanent basis!

On days where my lips aren't sore and chapped I've been reaching for this Illamasqua lipstick in the shade Liar. The shimmer finish is quite subtle but so pretty and it makes a lovely change from the matte Illamasqua lipsticks I love so much.

My ELF minty lipgloss in the shade Miami is a bit of a rediscovery on my part. I loved this a lot when I first got it, but I ended up totally forgetting about it. This is one of those pink shades that's so easy to wear on a daily basis and the minty smell is lovely! It is a bit sticky but that's okay and for £3.50 these are an absolute steal. I have a feeling a couple more of these will find their way into my next ELF order!

Another lipgloss favourite is one I got free in the November addition of Elle magazine. This is a shade that I never normally go for but it's one I've always wanted to try. Of course this doesn't go on the lips at the same colour intensity as in the tube, but instead it gives you that 'I've just eaten lots of strawberries and now my lips are a beautiful colour' look. I'm going to search for some berry coloured lip products for winter because I am no longer scared of them!

Finally my favourite blush combination of the last couple of months just has to feature in my favourites. I don't know what it is about these two together but I'm just obsessed, literally obsessed. Promise cream blush from Illamasqua and the Cool Dusk blush trio from the Body Shop gives the prettiest warm pink cheek with a hint of frosty shimmer that lifts the face and is perfectly suited to the cool winter months.

What were you favourite products of October?
