Neal's Yard and Boots Loot.

I was running out of a few products that I love so I needed to place an order with Neal’s Yard and Boots, but of course a few extra goodies found their way into my basket along the way. Why does that always happen to me? Please tell me I’m not the only one!

I’m sure I’ve babbled enough before about the Neal’s Yard Chamomile Cleanser and the Vitamin E & Avocado Night Cream for you to know that I absolutely adore them. My list of Neal’s Yard products that I’d like to try is probably about as long as my arm so I decided to try something I’d been looking at for a while and that is the Jasmine Enriching Cream. I don’t have neglected skin but I do have dry patches, which I’m hoping this will help with and so far I really really like it.

Next I moved on to the Boots website and purchased a few more things than I was intending to but I managed to find excuses to justify me needing to have them. Hello, my name is Jennie and I’m a little bit addicted to make up.

Quite a few people have recommended the No 7 muslin cloths to me so I thought I’d give them a try. I’m sure you can buy a whole stack of muslin cloths for peanuts on eBay but I’m not eBay savvy and I don’t have a paypal account because lets face it, that’d be far too dangerous! I love these by No 7, I think they’re a great size and come in a cute little plastic pouch.

I’m sure these are packed full of chemicals but my hair is being a total pain so maybe chemicals galore is what it needs to stop being silly. I’m sure these won’t lighten my hair colour by much, if at all but I thought I’d give them a go because I really would like my hair to be lighter. If they don’t work it’s okay, I managed to find these on offer for £7. Bargain!

The only bronzer I own is one from Eyes Lips Face and for the most part I haven’t touched it because I’m pretty content with being pale. But, spring and summer are approaching and I want to experiment with new make up looks so I decided to get this Bourjois bronzer, it’s the one that looks like a bar of chocolate and it smells amazing. I’ve got shade 52 and from what I can tell there is a lighter shade available but from pictures I’ve seen online they don’t look drastically different. I think with a big fluffy brush and a light had this will be really nice!

I don’t own a brown eyeliner so I thought I needed one in my collection, I went for the Rimmel Soft Kohl liner in the colour Sable Brown and that was the extent of my reasoning behind this purchase. I’m not hugely big on liner on me because I have such
small eyes and I find if I use a lot of liner they look even smaller. I do however like using a little really close to my upper lash line to make my lashes look fuller so I think this is what I’ll be using this for.

This concealer is incredible and I can’t believe I hadn’t tried this before. A while ago I remember there being quite a few positive reviews on the Collection 2000 lasting perfection foundation but I don’t recall hearing much about the concealer. I’m not sure why I decided to pick this up but I’m so glad I did because this does an unbelievable job of covering my under eye circles without looking cakey or settling into fine lines. I love this and it’s probably my favourite purchase!

Since I loved my Revlon ColorBurst lipstick in Baby Pink so much I thought I’d pick up another colour. The beautiful Kim mentioned that the shade Peach was lovely and with spring coming up I thought it would be a good purchase. It’s really is a
lovely warm corally peach that’s very wearable and will look perfect once the sun decided to start shining!

Lastly the 17 range caught my eye because I know they have some great products at really affordable prices. They have a gorgeous spring collection coming out and I really want to pick up a few of those items but until then I decided to try one of their Shine On lipsticks in the colour Watermelon Crush. This is a beautiful pinky coral colour that I know will look amazing in the summer and the formula is just perfect. I don’t find it drying at all and my lips look plump and moisturised whenever I wear this and I just love it. This is a shimmery colour which I personally adore and I definitely need to check out more shades of the Shine On lipsticks and more of the 17 range in general. Great make up doesn’t have to be expensive and it’s wonderful when you find inexpensive products that really work and look amazing!

Have you tried any of these products before? What did you think of them? Have you found any lovely pharmacy make up products lately?
xoxo

  1. i really want to try that bourjois bronzing powder; i have heard so many good things about it. The only problem is i don't particularly like the packaging, it's nice enough but for some reason the thick card kind of thing puts me off! Love the look of those lipsticks too! xxx

The Bourjois powder are generally great products, I do use the pressed powder for touch-ups during the day, it's always in my bag :)

  3. I'll have to check that Collection 200 concealer out, my favourite foundation is by them (Matt + Minerals) but I didn't think much to the Lasting Perfection foundation! I recently bought some Beauty UK 'Metallic Eye Sparks' which are gorgeous! They're on sale at Superdrug atm, so maybe check those out :)

  7. Ha Ha :D
Every single time I purposely go into Boots I end up with more than I bargained for.

Loving the Colour Burst lipstick, I'm a fan too.
I use the John Frieda Collection as well, but I'm brunette. I've also used a few Collection 2000 products as well. Some of the items are only 79p in selected stores. I have really sensitive skin though, so some of the items caused a bit of a rash once removed.

I definetely will go on a Neal's Yard loot in the future- it looks amazing! :D

  10. Great purchases - I've looked at the Bourjois bronzer a couple of times but was a bit put off by the cardboardy packaging. It does look lovely though. The two lipsticks you bought are so pretty. x

  12. You're not the only one haha! That always happens with me every single time! I need to pick up some more of the No 7 muslin cloths, but I can never ever find them in my local store. They're either hiding from me or they just don't stock them which wouldn't surprise me. Curse living in a rubbish town. I'm so glad you picked up Revlon ColorBurst lippie in Peach - it's so lovely! The 17 lippie looks gorgeous too, I'm definitely going to have to check it out :) xxx
