Current Favourite: Powder Blushes.

I've pinched borrowed my boyfriends fancy shmancy camera because he has a beautiful 50mm lens and I don't, although I very much need to save my pennies up to buy one! Honestly, I just wanted to take pictures of something pretty & I really like rambling away about my favourite blushers because that's my absolute favourite make up item and thus this post was born!

NARS Douceur is a colour that I would never have chosen for myself, I won it in the gorgeous Karleigh's giveaway & I'm so so happy that I did. This is one of those colours that's ridiculously difficult to describe but I'd say it's a neutral pinkish brown that when applied to the cheeks gives the most beautiful, natural warm glow. If I'm ever not sure which blush to wear that day then this is the one I instantly reach for because it goes with absolutely everything. This is my absolute must have NARS item.

Bourjois Rose d'Or is the perfect warm toned shimmery mid-tone pink colour. If I were a blush then this would be the shade I would like to be. It's not too bright, too dark or too shimmery. The rosey tones make it instantly flattering & the golden shimmer instantly warms the complexion without looking too much. If you haven't popped into your nearest pharmacy and had a look at this shade then I really think you should. Honestly, it's beautiful!

MAC Semi-Precious Rose Quartz is something I've been reaching for almost daily for the past couple of weeks & I know I've talked about it too much already but it's true! The outer part of the blush is the perfect peachy-pink colour that's appropriate for the day or night. It's shimmery but not excessively so if you use with a light hand but can be built up to give the most amazing glow to your cheeks. The centre part is a stunning super shimmery highlight that may be too much for some people in the day time, but not for me! I'm all about the shimmery glowy cheeks, that's probably my signature make up look. If I owned a fan brush I'd probably apply the highlight with one of those but since I don't I've found the Eyes Lips Face studio line blush brush does the job perfectly because it's quite small & the perfect shape!

Those are my most reached for powder blushers at the moment, I hope you liked my little ramble & I hope you liked the pictures! I think this camera is much nicer than the one I usually use, what do you think? What are your current favourite blushers? Let me know in the comments below!
I ♥ blush!

  8. Gah Jennie, always making me want to spend lots on beauty prods! The NARS blush looks so perfect, just what I've been looking for for the coming months. I swatched Rose Quartz and actually wasn't a huge fan, but I've since read so many rave reviews about it, I'm kicking myself now! Hope you're well lovely. xxxx

  9. I must agree that the Bourjois Rose d'Or one looks such a pretty blush colour. I use a matte E.L.F blusher in tickled pink for day to day. Gives a nice subtle colour to my cheeks, which I like :)

  12. I love blush so much, found these images so lovely. I have a Bourjois blush but am not impressed with it, I think I need to play around with it to make it work for me. The Nars looks amazing, I can see what you mean with it being hard to describe. It's not that 'wow' in pan but I see how great it would be on=)

  19. Whoa, these look amazing! I've almost bought the Bourjois one a few times, but it just seems so similar to Nars Orgasm which I still have some of atm! The Nars one you have sounds amazing, it doesn't look like a shade I'd usually pick either, but your description sounds PERFECT!

Argh, look what you've done to me. I'm skint and I want loads of make up now! Blusher is always a fall down point for me because its something I'm so uncertain about!! xx
