What I Wore: A Little Black Dress with a Twist.

Dress: Glamorous.Blazer: Glamorous. ♦ Cardigan: New Look. ♦ Bag: Disaster Designs Dandy Bag.
Shoes: Primark. Bracelet: Pandora. Heart Ring: Scape Jewellery. Nail Polish: Illamasqua Nudge

Going on little mini road trips in search of pretty locations to take photographs in has become one of my new favourite things to do when we have a spare afternoon to explore. We stumbled across this little spot on the way back from a little Starbucks run, where I got another Cool Lime Refresha and my boyfriend bought me a very overpriced plastic Starbucks tumbler because I loved it so much! I almost fell off the wobbliest stile I have ever had to climb over to reach this beautiful spot, but it was totally worth it and I totally would have ran into the wheat field if I weren't so afraid of bugs!

This super cute little black dress is from Glamorous which absolutely has to be my favourite online shop of the moment and I constantly find myself checking the new in section to see what's been recently added. I was a little apprehensive about how this Claire Dress would look on me, I have never owned an item of clothing with the cut out detail at the sides that seem to be super popular at the moment but I have definitely admired them from afar. I'm certainly not the smallest person in the world but I decided to give it a try because it adds a really lovely & slightly edgy twist to an otherwise traditional little black dress and I love things that have an unexpected little twist. It is a little shorter in length that I would prefer but I tend to have this problem with most dresses, my legs just aren't my favourite feature, and with a pair of tights I felt totally comfortable. The weather could not make its mind up so I took a cardigan & a blazer out with me. My boyfriend and I actually had a fairly long conversation about moving to Australia on the way back home yesterday, whether we will actually ever do it is another story, but it sure was fun to imagine!

My blazer is another Glamorous beauty and I am so in love with this piece it's unreal. I find myself talking about it so often my boyfriend has named it Gordon and refers to it as my other boyfriend! I know there are unwritten rules saying you shouldn't pair blue with black but I adore the combination, especially with silver jewellery. This royal blue shade is one of my favourite colours to wear at the moment and I think it looks really sophisticated and put together. I'm sure I was horribly overdressed yesterday for just a trip to Starbucks but I secretly love being overdressed! I just adore dressing up I think.

Do you like to dress up sometimes, even for no reason?
What do you think of Glamorous?
xoxo
