Ralphie's Diary #5: The Best Carrot Patch Ever!

"Usually I'm not very impressed with the toys mama buys for me. I'll sometimes pretend to like them for a little bit but most of the time I'll just ignore them. This time she brought home the bestest toy in the entire world, my very own carrot patch. I'm the only bunny ever that doesn't like real carrots but these pretend ones sure are amazing!"

Make Up: Revlon Lollipop Lip Butter.

The sun has been shining all day, I'm wearing my favourite summer dress and I have been enjoying using some shiny new make up products. Today has been a good day! This evening is pizza night and a quick trip to Pets at Home to pick up some treats for Ralphie & Bailey! I filmed a couple of videos today which I'm excited to pop up on my YouTube channel, I'm hoping to make something of my channel because I really do love making videos! Ralphie makes a little cameo appearance in one of them, I've been asked to show him in videos before but it's so difficult because he does not like being picked up at all. He makes a brief appearance before kicking me and hopping off!

I hope you're all having a wonderful week! Have you tried any of the Revlon Lip Butters? Which is your favourite? Do you have any YouTube video requests? I'm not sure what to film next!

xoxo

P.S. I'm currently in the process of setting up a little print shop for my photographs and I would really appreciate if you could take a couple of minutes to fill out this little survey for me! Thank you!

Mid-Week Wishlist.

A new season means there are so many pretty spring clothing pieces in the shops right now that I am finding myself lusting after! And in true Jennie form, there are always lots of pretty make up items I would love to add to my make up collection. As if I don't have enough already, I need to remember that I only have one face!

One.
I have loved the oversized cricket cardigans and jumpers for ages and this cosy looking cricket cardigan from LOVE clothing would make the perfect addition to my wardrobe! I can just see this looking super cute over the top of sweet summer dresses in the cooler evenings during summer. Not everyone's taste I'm sure but I simply adore it!

Two.
The Shimmer Brick's from Bobbi Brown are definitely a luxurious purchase at a whopping £30.50 each but my gosh, they are so beautiful! I hadn't seen one in person until super recently and I just fell head over heels in love with the Rose shade. These shimmery beauties have had countless amazing reviews and I just know I wouldn't be disappointed if I were to invest in one! One day!

Three.
£16 for a nail polish seems a little extreme but this colour is just gorgeous! Deborah Lippmann polishes looks so pretty in the bottles and this shade, Mermaid's Dream, just screams springtime! Oh how I would love to have a row of Deborah Lippmann polishes sitting on my dressing table, they would look so sparkly and pretty! ♥

Four.
This adorable little mouse bag from ASOS is possibly the sweetest bag I have ever seen and I simply must add it to my spring wardrobe! It's little whiskers are so cute & the grey colour would look beautiful against pretty pastel hues!

Five.
This stunning aqua lurex twist back dress from LOVE clothing is such a bargain with the 50% off code and I would order it in a heartbeat if I didn't think the the main skirt would be too short on me. It looks amazing on the model and girls online but they all have such lovely toned legs, I don't think it would be flattering on my shape at all but I still absolutely adore it! The aqua colour is one of my favourites for the spring and summer.

Six.
Sticking on the pretty pastel theme, these patent slipper shoes from New Look have really caught my eye. The lilac colour is so pretty and the little tassel on the front is that little added detail that makes the shoe extra cute! I think the lemon yellow color these come in as well is super lovely, they're so affordable too which makes them even better!

Seven & Eight.
Now it's no secret that I'm not a huge eyeshadow wearer but NARS is fast becoming my favourite make up brand and I feel the overwhelming need to try one of each product they make which is ridiculous and definitely not very good for my bank balance! The two eyeshadow duo's I have my eye on in particular are Isolde which has warm orange toned brown shades and Kuala Lumpur which has rose gold and pretty purpleish shades.

Nine & Ten.
Real Techniques brushes have been taking the blogging and YouTube worlds by storm and I am lusting after them big time! The two brushes I'm particularly interested in getting are the Buffing Brush and the Deluxe Crease Brush, both of which don't seem to be available individually which is a shame. The Core Collection & the Starter Set are both super reasonably priced and they seem to contain a good range of brushes. I think I might put these on my birthday wish list!

What's on your wishlist at the moment? Have you found any super cute spring time clothes or accessories recently?
xoxo

Beautiful March Sponsors & Calling all April Sponsors!

The month of March marked the opening up of my sidebar to sponsors once again and through that we discovered a truly wonderful online boutique and three lovely blogs! The issue of blog sponsorship is an iffy one, I know, but I really hope you have all liked discovering something new through it!
Ginger Pickle is a wonderful new online boutique that sells a whole host of handmade goodies from a variety of British Designers. The variety that can be found at Ginger Pickle is something that I adore, there really is something for everyone just waiting to be discovered! My favourite item is this gorgeous Fragment Brass Triangle Ring by a designer called Katherine Seaman. I think it's one of those rings that is so wonderfully simple but it makes a statement at the same time!

Bella Luna is a gorgeous blog written by an equally gorgeous lady! Some of my favourite blogs of all time include a huge mixture of different posts from fashion & beauty to more personal lifestyle based posts and that is exactly what Bella Luna manages to achieve. You can tell that so much thought goes behind each and every one of the posts and I just know that you'll fall in love with Bella Luna as much as I have! ♥

Helena's Blog is packed full of beauty reviews combined with wonderful lifestyle posts that really has that personal touch that I love so much. Helena is a 22 year old University student who is just simply one of the nicest ladies you will ever have the pleasure to meet! My favourite posts from Helena are her nails of the week especially this super cute coloured leopard print design!

Complex Chaos is bursting with all things beauty including haul posts & lots of reviews and I know how much we all love a good beauty blog! Elizabeth's detailed and snappy reviews are amongst my favourites to read because they're always super honest and they usually make me want to run out and buy whatever she's raving about!

Thank you so much to Ginger Pickle, Bella Luna, Helena & Elizabeth for sponsoring Sailboat during March and I really hope that you've enjoyed discovering & learning more about those lovely ladies as much as I have!

Would you like to Sponsor in April.

What's in my Make Up Bag featuring Clippy London.

Firstly I just wanted to start off by talking about my make up bag, which is from Clippy, and I absolutely adore it. I've mentioned this a lot before but I did want to reiterate that I don't talk about things that were sent to me unless I would purchase it with my own money or recommend it to others and I honestly think that Clippy London is a fabulous company with a fabulous concept, and the lady behind it all, Calypso Rose, is so incredibly lovely. When she approached me it felt like I was reading an email from an old friend and that says to me that she puts a lot of thought behind everything she does including her business, and that passion and thoughtfulness combined with a bloody amazing product makes me want to sing her praises from the rooftops. I truly think many people will fall in love with the Clippy bags as much as I have.

It's very rare that I feel so genuinely excited about a product, and I actually have a lot to thank Calypso for, she & her product have reignited my passion for photography and design. Over the last couple of days I have been so inspired to make something of myself like Calypso has and I have so many ideas ticking around my head right now that I'm excited to share in time!

Photography is, and always will be, my first love. I have so many photographs that take me back to some of the happiest times in my life that I don't have out on display so when I received my Clippy make up bag in the post I already had an idea of how I wanted to personalise it. That's the magic of these bags, you can make which ever bag you choose completely your own unique creation. The bags I believe, were created because Calypso wanted to be able to display her Polaroid photographs in a unique way so each pocket in the bags is the perfect size for a Polaroid. I don't have many Polaroid photographs but I love the instant format so I dug out my collection of Instax images and picked out my favourites. As little backgrounds for them I chose some of my favourite skyscapes and pretty nature images and voila, my make up bag was complete.

Lately I have been incredibly boring with my make up and I have taken to popping some products into a make up bag and just using those products for a couple of weeks at a time or just until I fancy a bit of a change. This make up bag fits in all my essentials & would be perfect for traveling, if I ever went anywhere, which I sadly don't. Oh how I wish I could live a jet set lifestyle! Although without actually having to go on a plane, because I'm scared of those!

I'm sure you all will have seen most of the things that are in my make up bag currently many times before, the only new addition is the Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner, which I have to say I'm not overwhelmed with so far. I rarely wear eyeliner now so I'm not entirely sure why I purchased it but I'm going to persevere with it and see if I can make it work for me. So far I do think it's better than MAC Blacktrack Fluid Line, but it's not the incredible product I was expecting so I'm a little disappointed. If you have any eyeliner recommendations I would really appreciate it if you left them in the comments, I can't seem to find one that doesn't smudge on me!

If you're interested in purchasing a Clippy bag I have a code that will give you a little discount & also a free gift with your order; just pop SAILJEN in at the checkout. Do bear in mind that if you use that code I may get a percentage of the sale. There are other Clippy Ambassador's too so if you don't want to use my code, then you can always use someone else's. I honestly don't mind, it's just a nice opportunity to get a little something extra with your order!

What do you think of the Clippy Bags? If you have one & have done a blog post I'd love to see how you designed yours so please leave a link in the comments! Also, which make up products are you loving from your make up bag right now? Have you discovered any super pretty spring time make up items that you think I have to have?

Make Up: Natural Peachy Tones.

Cheeks: MAC Something Special Cream Blush & MAC Redhead Mineralize Skinfinish.

Today I opted for a more neutral and natural make up look and this is one that I have found myself reaching for quite often recently. I am still absolutely loving the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation, I use it almost every single day I wear make up and it has never let me down. Peep Show mascara from 17 Cosmetics is one of the best affordable mascaras I've ever tried and I will definitely be repurchasing which isn't something I do often because I'm always on the search for the next best thing. Another product I still absolutely adore is Something Special cream blush from MAC, it really is just the perfect peach shade for the spring & summer and the formulation is really lovely. It's not too dewy so those with oily skin shouldn't be put off giving this a go. A product from MAC that I'm not really loving is Creme Cup lipstick. I know this is a huge cult favourite but I don't think it really suits me that much. Maybe I'm just used to the more brighter shades but I think Creme Cup may be popping up in a blog sale some time soon which is a shame because I really wanted to love it as much as everyone else does!

I hope you're all having a wonderful Saturday. I have to go to work for three hours later which I'm not looking forward to but I'm planning on having a nice relaxing evening with lots of hot chocolate and perhaps a sneaky take away pizza too!

Have you got any nice plans for the weekend?

Five Things & Five Blogs I Love Friday 032.

One. Early afternoon naps in the sunshine with Ralphie Bunny.
Ralphie always finds the best spots of sunshine to have a little afternoon nap in. He seems to love the extra warmth, how he doesn't overheat with all that fur is beyond me. He's currently shedding like crazy, I guess it's time for his summer coat to start making an appearance, and I'm constantly hoovering like a crazy woman. I don't understand how one small bunny can shed so much and still have so much fur! He's a cute little fluff ball.

A bit silly? Oh yes, absolutely. But totally cute and super appropriate for the spring time? Totally! I love it. 99% because of the bunny ears and 1% for the cute colours! Yes, I think I'm secretly five years old but it's fun! I'm not quite ready to be grown up yet!

Three. Revlon Lip Butters.
This is no surprise I'm sure after my rave first impressions post a couple of days ago but I really am absolutely loving this new offering from Revlon. Revlon has been a favourite brand of mine for a long time, I've always thought they have amazing lip products and these lip butters have not disappointed so far! Lollipop is still my favourite!

One. Two. Three.

I have loved the catbird website for probably around two years now. I remember when I was looking for dainty rings, the ones from catbird were the first that I discovered and fell in love with. Back then these were a little out of my price range so I instead opted for one from Scape Jewellery which I adore and I wear every single day. There are so many different designers up on the website now and every single one of them creates such stunning pieces. If I had a money tree I'd probably buy one of everything!

Five. The Draw Something app.
There's not much more to say about this other than that I'm sure I've lost many hours over the past week to this app. It's so addictive and I'm sure if you have an iPhone/iPod/iPad then you know exactly what I'm talking about!

What have you especially loved this week?

Ralphie's Diary: #4 Thursday Morning Cuteness.

"I love the morning times, mama always lets me out for a little run and when it's sunny I love it even more. Sometimes mama follows me around with a camera and I like to be extra cute if I'm in the mood for photographs! Today I spotted a really handsome bunny in my room, yeah, I was totally checking myself out in the mirror! My adventures this morning were pretty exhausting, so I had a little wash and then found a patch of sunshine to have a nap in. This morning was good and I'll be in the mood to make lots of mischief for mama this evening!"

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters.

Finally, after what seems like forever although I'm sure it's probably only been a couple of months, the Revlon Lip Butters have made it to the UK. Initially I wasn't super interested in them, or so I thought, but as soon as I saw them up on the Boots website I found myself quickly googling swatches and adding them to my basket! I decided on four shades because they were on a 2 for £10 offer. That offer has ended now but they are on 3 for 2 so if you're interested, I'd snap some up quickly!

Cupcake, Sweet Tart, Lollipop & Raspberry Pie.
I had no idea which shades to go for because I usually love going in to Boots and having a good ol' swatch. My local Boots is terrible and always gets things super late and I just couldn't wait so I decided not to go for the ones I typically would be drawn to, i.e. all pale pink shades and instead pick a good mix of colours. I'm so glad I did this because so far, bearing in mind I have only had these for a few hours, I really like them all. The formula is very consistent throughout all of these shades, they're creamy to apply and don't highlight any dryness on my lips which I'm super happy about. The pigmentation varies between the shades, but I think we all expected that anyway, lighter colours seem to be less pigmented but that's okay! They have a very nice light vanilla scent to them which isn't overpowering at all and I like that. I don't think I would have liked them as much if they had really strong dessert scents.

The first shade I chose is called Cupcake which is a very typical 'me' kind of shade, it's one of those pale pinks that you don't have to think about when you're putting it on & pretty much goes with anything. I don't adore this one but I do like it, it's quite sheer but it still does have quite a good colour pay off and will definitely wash me out if I don't pair it with the right cheek colour and lots of lashes but I know that I will get a lot of use out of it because it's just so easy! It is a very blue based pink but my complexion seems to warm it up a little which I really like. This is definitely a very pretty shade and it's not as sheer as I was expecting.

The second shade I chose is called Sweet Tart and I'm so glad that I got this one because I think it's one of my favourites. Sweet Tart is a fairly bright mid-toned pink that doesn't look overly cool toned on my complexion. I already know that this is going to get a lot of love from me this spring because it's a shade that instantly brightens up the complexion without being too statement. The pigmentation of this shade is really nice, it's not too full on but it's just right. I love it.

The third shade is one that I knew I wanted as soon as I started seeing blog posts and YouTube videos about the range and it's called Lollipop. This shade is amazing and I think it's definitely my favourite from the four that I got. It's a super bright almost violet fuchsia pink with beautiful blue sparkles. The sparkles aren't super obvious on the lips and the formula still feels smooth & not gritty in any way. I have a feeling this is going to be one of my go to summer lip colours. I adore it!

The last shade I chose is one that I saw on Estée from Essie Button and I had to have it because it looks so beautiful on her and it's called Raspberry Pie. I would put this shade in a similar category to my beloved Cherries in the Snow lipstick because it's a reddish rosey toned bright pink. I love shades like this and again, will be perfect for the summer time with a touch of blush & lots of mascara!

So far I haven't been disappointed in these, I'll have to get back to you with how they wear, but I'm very happy that I picked up these colours. I'm sure at some point I'll pop into Boots and have a look at the rest of the shades but I think that I chose quite a good mix of the colours in the range so I'm not sure if I'll purchase any more. Although having said that, I think the shade Candy Apple may be calling my name, and perhaps one of the peachier shades. Oh dear. I think we all know I'll be purchasing at least a couple more. At least they're not breaking the bank though, priced at quite a reasonable £7.99 each.

Have you tried any of the Revlon Lip Butters yet? Which are your favourite shades?

What I Wore: Sweet Swallow Print Dress from Brat & Suzie.

Coat: Primark. Dress: Brat & SuzieCardigan: George at Asda.
Necklace: Temporary:SecretaryBracelet: Sailboat Ahoy. Bag: ASOS.
Tights: Primark. Shoes: ASOS. Heart Ring: Scape Jewellery. Ruby Ring: Studio 59.

This sweet little dress from Brat & Suzie has had quite a journey, which almost seems appropriate considering it’s adorable little swallow print. I have Sarah from Temporary:Secretary to thank for this newest addition to my wardrobe after she thought of me when she discovered the dress wasn't quite right for her. Sarah is one of my absolute favourite ladies in the blogging world so I was extremely honoured that she thought of me!

Versatile pieces like this are always amongst my favourite items in my wardrobe because it's so easy to style a whole range of outfits around them. This time I chose to pair it with a pastel purple cardigan because I'm so excited for the spring time, my adorable pastel pink Keep Calm & Carry On necklace from Sarah's jewellery shop and my trusty trench coat. I have said it before, but I really do love trench coats. They're perfect for the spring because they're not too heavy and this light grey shade manages to look lovely with every colour I can think of. The cute peter pan collar is a lovely added detail as are the three little buttons. They're simple details but I really do think they make all the difference.

Have you ever purchased anything from Brat & Suzie before? After having a little browse through the website I have already spotted some sweet pieces that I would love to add to my wardrobe, especially this Boston Dog Dress & this adorable Bunny Dress!
