What I Wore: Dreaming is Believing.

Oh gosh, I'm going to apologise in advance for the amount of photographs in this post, I know it's a bit excessive but I couldn't resist since I was joined by such a special guest mid shoot! I pretty much got photo-bombed!
Yep, photo-bombed by a freaking GIANT swan. I'm not going to lie, I was a teeny bit nervous (note me giving the swan some serious side-eye there!) you gotta keep your eye on those things, I did not want to get pecked! It popped up out of nowhere, they're sneaky those swans! The poor thing probably only mooched over to see if I had any food, sadly I did not, but they sure are elegant creatures!

Blazer: Primark. Vest Top: H&M. Skirt: Primark. Bag: ASOS. Tights: Matalan. Shoes: ASOS.
Charm Bracelet: gift. Necklace: Find Jewellery.Heart Ring: Scape Jewellery. Uncut Ruby Ring: Studio 59.

Find Jewellery recently gifted me this absolutely beautiful silver heart locket necklace and I completely adore it. It's one of those pieces that I will have in my jewellery box forever, it's timeless & grown up with a sweet little twist to it which is exactly the kind of jewellery I love. Lockets are extra special, I have a couple with pictures of people who are special to me and I have popped a little photograph of my boyfriend inside this one. I've mentioned before that I'm stupidly sentimental, I love to keep those special people close to me in some way all the time. Totally not for everyone, but I just think lockets are super cute! ♥

Hair: Directions Carnation Pink hair dye & Enrapture Totem Styler ♦(setting 1-2-1) for loose waves.

Have you ever been photo-bombed by someone or something while you were taking outfit of the day photographs? Or have you ever had anyone approach you and ask what you were doing? I get some super odd looks sometimes, anyone would think taking photographs was super weird!

I hope you're all having a lovely week!

Make Up: Revlon Raspberry Pie Lip Butter & New Hair: Pink Ombre.

Raspberry Pie was the lip butter from Revlon that I hadn't been showing much love to, so today I decided that it was time to wear it more often. It's a beautiful bright almost berry toned pink and I love how statement it is, while still being very wearable. This is why I love the Revlon Lip Butters so much, some of the colours are super bright and bold, but they really are so easy to wear. It's an easy way to wear a bright lip without it being high maintenance & as the colour fades it begins to look like more of a lip stain. They're beautiful.

Silver Heart Locket Necklace ♦: Find Jewellery
Styled With: Enrapture Totem Heat Styler ♦ (setting 1-2-1).

I'm so excited to have my pink ombre back. Around this time last year I played a little with coloured ombre and after seeing Jessie J's amazing purple hair during the audition stages of The Voice I just had to reach for the colour again. There's no special method I use to get my coloured ombre, I just section my hair into two pieces & pop on the dye taking care not to be too neat about it, leave it on for around 10 - 15 minutes and then rinse. It's easy peasy!

Have you ever put a fun colour through your hair?

Mid Week Wishlist 03.

One. I've never been the biggest fan of Topshop, there's no denying that they have some beautiful pieces but I often think that the prices are just a bit too high. Maybe I'm just cheap! I do tend to have a browse of the 'new in' items every so often and as soon as I saw this Neon Lace Flippy Dress I thought 'wow'! The colour is just incredible and the shape of the dress looks really flattering. Those two things combined with lace makes this dress a winner for me! Now, all I have to do is find a spare £46! Hmm..

Two. Dahlia is a brand that has been on my fashion radar for a little while now and every time I see a new piece I fall in love because everything is just so whimsical and girly. Totally my style. This Swan Print Dress is so adorable, I love anything with an animal print and there is something super cute and a little bit vintage about it. If I were going to any festivals this summer this is a dress that I would dance the night away wearing for sure!

Three. Continuing with the cute animal theme, this super cute Birds Nest Ring from Cheap Frills is firmly on my lust list! It's the perfect piece for the spring time, subtle and not too over the top, but statement in its own super cute way. I love it!

Four. I'm a huge sucker for cute little mugs and this Mushroom Mug from Topshop is so adorable. If it weren't currently out of stock I would be falling over myself trying to find my debit card (although I wouldn't need to because I shamefully know my card details off by heart - too much online shopping there!)

Five. It's no secret that I absolutely love food and I've been really getting into trying to cook new foods and experiment a little more in the kitchen. This sweet little Retro Lady Recipe Binder from Paperchase is so lovely and I would love to fill this up with yummy recipes! It comes with so many different things too like food labels and a sweet dinner party planner! Too cute!

Six. Topshop make up is such good quality at even more purse friendly prices and I've been lusting after so many of the lipsticks because I think they're just as good as MAC. The Topshop lipstick in the shade Infrared is a colour I've seen Zoe talk about so much and it looks amazing on her. I never would have thought that such an orange shade could look so flattering, but it really does and I would love to rock this shade in the height of summer!

Seven. Another Topshop lipstick I'm lusting after is Brighton Rock and again, it's a super bright shade that would look amazing in the summer sunshine! I have been loving statement lips lately and I think my collection is missing a super bright pink like this one. The lipsticks are only £8 too which I think is a total bargain!

Eight. I filmed a tag video for my YouTube channel this week and a question in it reminded me of my beloved charm bracelet & I realised that I haven't added a new charm to it for such a long time! Currently my bracelet is lacking anything bunny related and this adorable Rabbit Hutch charm opens to reveal a sweet little bunny inside. I absolutely love the Perfect Charm website, there is such a variety of lovely charms on there and the silver prices are really affordable!

What are you currently lusting over? There's always something pretty that I find and fall in love with, I think I need to stop window shopping online!

What I Wore: Velvet Dress & Mid Winter Sunshine.

Coat: Primark. Dress: Love Label. Cardigan: H&M. Bag: ASOS.
Shoes: ASOS. Scarf: Primark. Necklace: Sailboat Ahoy!
Heart Ring: Scape Jewellery. Ruby Ring: Studio59.

It's so wonderful seeing these photographs again, I remember this day like it was yesterday although these were taken way back in the middle of January. This day was perfect, it was freezing cold and the ground was covered in ice so getting up to this spot in the hills was not easy especially as I was wearing less than practical shoes, as always. We slipped over countless times and laughed so hard until we cried. There was no one else around that day, it was so peaceful and beautiful and I felt so content with life. The decisions I have made in the last week will hopefully lead me back to that feeling. Life is so difficult when you start to lose yourself, and life is just too short to waste a single moment. Sometimes circumstances dictate what you have to do, but if you can find a way around that, I believe it's important to do what your heart tells you. Everything has been suffering because I've been feeling so low, even this little piece of the internet that I'm so fond of. My blog posts have been lacking, for some reason I felt pressured into publishing posts even if I wasn't happy with the content, which is strange because no one has been pressuring me, only myself. At times I really can be my own worst enemy, but I think I'm getting back on track. Fingers crossed.

This dress is one of my favourites although I can count on one hand the number of times I have worn it. It has been sitting in my wardrobe for a long time and even though I find it difficult to wear I just adore it. I love it even more now that it has such happy memories attached to it. I'm so sentimental it's ridiculous, I still have the dress that I wore the first time I met my boyfriend and even though I don't wear it anymore, I just can't part with it. Are you ever sentimental at times?

Make Up: Revlon Sweet Tart Lip Butter.

Last month I was loving the Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop and this month I'm loving Sweet Tart. With make up I'm very much an all or nothing kind of person, when I find products I love I'll use them constantly until I get bored and fancy trying something different. Sweet Tart is bright yet completely wearable which makes it perfect for effortless spring time everyday make up.

I haven't been feeling myself for the past couple of months, which I'll talk about some time soon but hopefully I'm finally starting to get back on track. Sometimes making decisions is so difficult when you're not sure what to do for the best, but I truly believe that you should always follow your heart. Always.

Mid-Week Wishlist 02.

One.
How sweet is this little bunny ring from Temporary:Secretary? I think it's absolutely perfect and its little pink ears are super adorable! A simple accessory that will just go with absolutely any spring & summer outfit!

Two.
Not being a fan of the original Daisy fragrance from Marc Jacobs, (I think it smells like grass!) it took me a long time to smell Daisy Eau So Fresh but now I have, I've completely fallen in love with it. I adore the violet scent and I think it's so girly and perfect for the spring time. The bottle is stunning too, Marc Jacobs always has such beautiful bottles for his fragrances.

Three.
I'm always on the lookout for light jackets that would look sweet over pretty dresses in the summer time and this Jersey Panel Biker jacket from Topshop looks pretty perfect to me! The peach colour is gorgeous and I think it would add a little bit of edge to an otherwise super cute spring time dress.

Four.
Cheap Frills is a jewellery shop that I have just been introduced to (look out for a giveaway coming up super soon!) and I have fallen in love with so many of the pieces in the shop. This Lord Pug Necklace is a new addition I believe and he is just SO cute! A must have for all pug lovers everywhere!

Five.
I'm on a mission to look after my nails so that I can wear pretty pastel nail polishes and I'm someone that always has a problem with polish chipping or peeling off just a few hours after I've applied it. Maybe I'm just heavy handed but I do think it also has a lot to do with the terrible condition of my nails! The Bonder Basecoat from Orly promises to improve the longevity of your nail polish so I definitely want to give this a go sometime! Have you ever tried this before? I'd love to know what you thought of it!

Six.
When browsing the make up section of ASOS I always find myself being drawn to something that I definitely don't need but really really want because it's super pretty. This Love At First Blush palette from Stila has caught my eye this time and the fact it's limited edition has caught my attention even more. I'm a sucker aren't I?! It just looks so pretty and Stila is a brand I've not tried too much of but always been intrigued by.

Seven.
Photography is my first love and from time to time I find myself on the Lomography website having a peek at all the cameras they have to offer. There's always one I find myself lusting after and at the moment it is the Sprocket Rocket. I love the images you can achieve with this camera, I would love to experiment with double exposures with it and I think prints would look fabulous in frames!

What's on your current wishlist?

Spring Blossom and Snow Showers.

It's hard to believe that last week Derbyshire was bathed in sunshine when now it is covered in a thick blanket of snow. Oh England, I do love your unpredictable weather. Thank you for giving me one last cold spell before the sunshine comes out to say hello again.

Make Up: NARS Penny Lane Cream Blush.

I don't think I need to mention that I am a complete blusher addict again, I'm sure everyone already knows, but for the longest time I was only attracted to blushes that looked pretty in the pan. Anything neutral and simple was ignored in favour of super bright or pretty marbleized baked blushers purely because they look prettier. I can safely say that I was totally wrong in doing that and I am so happy that I have started to acknowledge that simple and neutral colours can be completely gorgeous too. The latest addition to my blush collection is Penny Lane from NARS and I am already completely head over heels in love with the colour.

NARS cream blushers aren't my favourite formulation, there's just no beating Illamasqua's cream blushers for me although it's unfair of me to compare them because they are two totally different products. Illamasqua cream blushers stay dewy on the skin whereas NARS cream blushers dry to more of a powder finish which is great if you're skin is on the oilier side. They never look powdery or too much on the skin and I find they wear really nicely throughout the day, I never find myself needing to reapply.

Penny Lane is described as a nude pink shade and I would say that's pretty accurate. There is no shimmer or glitter and although I'm a huge fan of shimmery cheek products it's nice to have options! It's one of those shades that doesn't look hugely special in the pan but once it's on your cheeks it manages to give you that fresh, wide awake and natural flush which is so lovely and goes with any make up look you could possibly think of. If you have been thinking about investing in this shade, and at £21 it is an investment purchase, I would say that it is well worth every single penny and I highly recommend it. I can already tell that this will be my blusher of choice when I decide to go for a bright lip this spring and summer and I'm so excited to wear it more!

Have you ever tried any blushers from NARS? If so which are your favourites? And if not, please let me know what your current favourite blusher is, I'd love to know!

Life via Instagram 003.

One.
Ralphie has been loving his carrot patch toy, he's doing such a good job of chewing through it I'm not sure how much longer it'll last but he loves it and that's the main thing!

Two.
I just adore it when he does his little bunny paw claps. They make me melt every time! He has taken to doing it right after being told off for being naughty, he knows he's cute and that no one can be angry with him for very long. He's not daft!

Three.
My face not looking like me at all! I find it so weird when that happens, it's like when you look in the mirror and you feel really good about your make up or hair that day but a camera makes it look awful. Odd!

Four.
Being a busy bee editing some videos to put on my YouTube channel. I'm really excited to be getting back into video making, I'm not sure why I neglected it for the whole of last month because I really do love making videos, although it has surprised me how much I can talk. For someone who in real life is ridiculously shy and super quiet, I can talk for England to a camera!

Five.
I have fallen in love with this sweet dress from ASOS and I'm so tempted to purchase it! It's super plain but the colour looks so pretty on the website and I'm pretty sure I'll be living in dresses like this come the summer time. In the hot weather fashion goes out the window and I'm all about being cool and comfortable. I don't do well in hot weather at all, this is why I love the Autumn & Winter so much!

Six.
We had a mini heatwave in the UK last week and it was so beautiful. It wasn't too hot but the sunshine was enough to lift my mood and it's just what I needed. It helped me to see things more clearly and I've made some pretty big decisions that I hope will pay off in time. One of those things has been to finally stop procrastinating and get on with opening up my print shop! I'm going to be on both Etsy and Big Cartel and perhaps Folksy too offering prints of my photographs and greetings cards/notelets as well. I had a little survey asking how much people would be willing to pay for a print and I got a pretty varied response, I'm going to make sure not to price too high but I'm afraid they will cost more than 5p each! I see a photograph in the same way I see a piece of art, you're not simply paying for a copy, you're paying for someones time, effort & creative vision!

Seven.
Bailey got a new toy, Mister Snake. He's super long and it's so cute watching Bailey run around with a snake trailing behind! Although it's not so fun when Bailey decides he wants to sit and chew the squeaker inside constantly for an hour. That's a noise that gets old really quickly!

Eight & Nine.
Couldn't resist including a few more photographs of little Ralphie. He's been extra cute this week, and extra naughty to match. Don't let those big eyes and chubby cheeks fool you, he knows how to get himself into mischief on a daily basis!

Did you have a lovely weekend? I hope you did and you got to enjoy the sunshine! Did you have any nice plans?
xoxo
