The sun has finally began to shine again and I felt inspired to do a fresh spring time make up look. The weather is still chilly so I've been relying on hydrating skin care products, especially my REN Rose Serum♦ - it's absolutely gorgeous and SO hydrating. My skin also hasn't been the best recently, I have a lot of redness and some stubborn blemishes on my chin that have refused to budge so a lot of concealing products have become my best friends and I have particularly rekindled my love for Benefit Boi-ing Concealer.
The super kind people over at Estee Lauder let me try their new Stay-On Shadow Paints♦ and all I can say is wow! I can finally wear eyeshadow again without it melting off my eyes within the hour - I feel like it's a bit of a miracle product so I wasted no time at all in whipping out my MUA Undressed Palette to really brighten up my eyes. I'm still using Benefit They're Real mascara, I haven't seen any signs of it drying up anytime soon and although it's not my favourite (it smudges on my lower lashes) I do like it.
Cheeks wise I'm still completely in love with Benefit Hoola bronzer, it adds some much needed shape and definition to my face without looking orange, which is perfect. The Stila Convertible Color in Gerbera has very quickly become my favourite blush of the moment, I really want to get some more shades of these because I adore the formula but I'm on a total blush ban because I have three drawers full of them.
When it comes to lip products, I'm really liking soft colours with glossy formulas that are low maintenance. As much as I do love my bright colours, I've just not been reaching for them recently and it's nice not to have to worry about whether I have lipstick on my teeth. I think I'm going to invest in a few more nude & light pink colours. Do you have any recommendations?
P.S. I've been a little, distant, for lack of a better word recently, if I've seemingly ignored you then I am super sorry, if you know the reasons why then I'm hoping you understand but I am getting back on track and I'm feeling much better. I've received some beyond lovely emails over the past week and I haven't managed to reply to them all just yet but I will - I just wanted to say thank you and I love you! I often feel like I'm a little on the outside of the blogging world looking in so every single wonderful word has really meant the world, it's nice to not feel alone.
