Three's Blogger Penpal's!

For two weeks last month I was the proud owner, babysitter if you will, of an iPhone 5 thanks to the wonderful guys over at Three and their mobile penpal campaign. The blogging community is an incredibly lovely one to be a part of with the sharing of thoughts & inspiration and the emergence of new and exciting opportunities and friendships. When Three approached me and told me a little about their ethos of sharing and connecting with friends via technology, I was instantly interested. It's crazy to think how much technology plays a part in everyday life now. I distinctly remember getting the first family computer when I was 10 and how incredible it was to be able to type up my homework rather than having to hand write it. I also remember getting my first mobile phone when I was 11, it was roughly the size of a brick, couldn't receive those super simple picture messages that went around back in the day and the only game it had on it was snake!

Clearly technology has moved on a lot since I was 11 (which admittedly was a very long time ago!) & I had the best time filling the iPhone 5 with photographs, silly little videos & my favourite apps. Apple products are my favourite because they just work, you know, and unsurprisingly I fell a little bit in love with the phone - I pretty much didn't want to give it back and Mark may have had to gently prise it out of my hands and back into the box when my 2 weeks were up.

The camera quality definitely puts my current phone to shame, it's pretty much on a par with a point & shoot camera and for those days where you really don't want to carry much stuff with you, the camera is more than sufficient to snap lots of memories. I pretty much filled the phone with pictures & videos of little Ralphie & Bailey - crazy animal lady over here & loved every second!

I also made a pretty good start at Candy Crush (I'm completely addicted and had to get it on my ipad but I'm currently stuck on level 65 - I'm not very good at it at all!) and I had to include one of my old favourites - Hay Day! Other than that, I tend to be very simple with my app choices - I love Evernote and my favourite ever list app is called Do! Spring, not because it's super fancy but because it's so super cute! It's like writing lists in your favourite, cutest notebook & you can cross them off when you've done them - perfect!

Thanks so much to the guys over at Three for asking me to be a part of this, I had a lot of fun and I hope Amy from Paperbacks & Postcards, who had the phone after me didn't mind looking at all the videos and pictures of Ralphie & Bailey!

Do you have an iPhone or a favourite app?
I'm definitely very tempted to scrape the pennies together to get one for myself now!
xoxo

  2. I wasn't allowed a mobile phone until I was 16 and driving, and it was most definitely a brick! With traveling around everywhere, I didn't have my first smart phone until November 2010 when I moved to england and got an iPhone and I never want anything else now. I'm sure the next bloggers who get the phone will love seeing your animal pics!

  7. Te he. Thankfully I eventually got over my candy crush addiction! :P I'm starting to fall out of love with my iPhone, eeks. I'm due an upgrade at the end of this month and I've been debating moving away from the iPhone. Shocking!! Your post has almost convinced me to stick with it, mainly because your pictures are so beautiful. I expect that's your photographic talent rather than the phone though :P

    1. I had one of the cheaper blackberries and I never really liked it that much, I think the more expensive ones are better although I don't think they can compete with the iphone! xo

  22. I would love an iphone but they are rather pricey, and I really do not trust myself to not drop it! Guess the brand and Farmville are incredibly addicting and frustrating, hence the whole not trusting myself. Great post and cute dog!
