The TMI Tag.

I was tagged by Esme from Sparkly Ghosts and this was just the kind of post I wanted to write today. Maybe I'll look back over this in a year or so and see if any of my answers have changed; maybe then I'll have a favourite TV show or some new favourite bands!
What are you wearing?
Reindeer pyjamas. Yes... really, it's just one of those days!
Have you ever been in love?
Yes and it's wonderful.
Have you ever had a terrible breakup?
No, I think I've been quite lucky in that respect. I'm thankful to have always been able to leave things on good terms.
How tall are you?
Somewhere around 5'9" give or take half an inch.
How much do you weigh?
Eek, probably about 2 stone more than I would like to in an ideal world but I'm working on that.
Do you have any tattoos?
Not yet...!
Do you have any piercings?
Just one in each ear, I don't think anything else would suit me!
Shamefully I had to google this because I had no idea what it means! I'm going to have to go with Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley because they're my favourite and totally meant to be... I'm so predictable!
What is your favorite TV show?
I don't think I really have one. I do love a bit of the Great British Bake Off though, I'm a little sad it's over for the year! I quite like Homeland although I don't think this series has been the best so far.
Who are your favorite bands/singers?
Zero 7, Sia, London Grammar, The Shins and The Decemberists.

What is something you miss?
That one summer when I was fifteen and I didn't have a care in the world.
What is your favorite song?
Somersault by Zero 7.
How old are you?
Twenty four - when did that happen?!
Zodiac sign?
I'm a Taurus & I definitely identify with some of the classic traits. I can be incredibly stubborn and I often have a little internal battle with jealousy.
Quality you look for in a partner?
Humour & silliness! I think it's so important to be able to step back, laugh and not take things too seriously.
Favorite quote?
'If your dreams don't scare you, they aren't big enough' or 'To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.'
Favorite actor/actress?
Leo DiCaprio, no explanation needed & Helena Bonham Carter because she's just fabulous!
Favorite colour?
I really like pale blues and light greys. But if we're talking about favourite colours to wear, I'm all about the dark greys, navy blues and burgundy.
Loud music or quiet?
Where do you go when you're sad?
Hogwarts, always Hogwarts.
How long does it take you to shower?
It depends on how much time I have and how cold it is. If it's cold outside I could happily stay in the shower for a very long time.
How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
I have perfected rolling out of bed, into the shower, run to the wardrobe, five product face, grab breakfast on the way out of the door routine so I can always have that extra 10 minutes in bed. I'm not a morning person at all!
Ever been in a physical fight?
I slapped someone on the face once BUT she was mean to me for years and at that one point in time it was the only way I could get her to stop.
Turn on?
Turn off?
Ignorance and without a willingness to look at something from another perspective.
The reason you started blogging?
At that time I really needed somewhere I felt like I belonged. And I found it here.
Being lonely. And spiders!
Last thing that made you cry?
Saying goodbye.
Last time you said you loved someone?
Today, everyday.
Meaning behind your blog name?
My name is Jennie and I really like all things nautical. I also enjoy Sailor Jerry rum every once in a while, so it's mostly a bit of a play on that.

Last book you read?
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.
The book you're currently reading?
Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson.
Last show you watched?
On old episode of the O.C! I loved that show when I was a teenager, especially Seth!
Last person you talked to?
My mama.
The relationship between you and the person you last texted?
I can't remember the last time I sent a text, I'm awful at keeping in touch!
Favorite food?
Sandwiches! There are just so many options! ;)
Place you want to visit?
Lots of places, but I desperately want to visit Edinburgh again. I like to think of it as my spiritual home.
Last place you were?
Having a little look around the Christmas shop and a local garden centre. It's like a magical wonderland!
Do you have a crush?
I'm not sure it really counts as a crush after being together for so many years, but I'm going to say yes!
Last time you kissed someone?
This morning.

Last time you were insulted?
I have no idea, probably via a comment within the last month. They just get deleted, I really don't see why they waste their time!
Favourite flavour of sweet?
Any sweet that is blue, I will love. Blue is the best flavour!
Do you play any instruments?
Unfortunately not! I used to play the recorder in Primary School (didn't we all?!) and I took piano lessons but I just couldn't get the hang of it.
Favourite piece of jewellery?
My Grandmother's engagement ring.
Last sport you played?
Tennis....in 2005! ;)
Last song you sang?
I start singing along to the John Lewis Christmas advert whenever it's on!
Favourite chat up line?
No...just no.
Have you ever used it?
See above...
Last time you hung out with anyone?
Last night. A much-needed movie night with lots of ice cream and good company happened and it was the best!
Who should answer these questions next?

Happy Friday!
Do you have any exciting weekend plans?

Love, Jennie

I had never realised your name was a play on Sailor Jerry's - shame on me, as I love it! Haha.

    Jess xo

  24. I love that kind of posts <3

  25. I relate to so many of these, mainly the extra 10 minute lie ins, Hogwarts being my happy place and being awful at texting people! :)

    1. all about the 10 minutes extra! xo

  26. A fellow O.C fan.. I love that show too ..<3 so sad when it ended

  27. Hey sweetie :) I've nominated you as one of my 11 'Sunshine Award' nominees, celebrating bloggers "who are positive and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere" :) check out the rules over at my blog: http://www.lanouvellenoire.com/2013/11/the-sunshine-award.html and hope to see your answers soon :)
    Keep in touch!

  28. Iv never been to Edinburgh, hearing how much you like it makes me want to go even more!

  29. I'm definitely not a morning person at all - my brain only starts functioning basically after midday! :p I also enjoyed Homeland seasons 1 and 2, but I watched the first episode of the third season and I somewhat lost interest. Carrie seems especially overwrought this season in a way that's a little bit tiresome.

    1. I know that feeling! She's not doing so well, poor thing! x

  30. Love this tag! I might use it on my blog sometime soon, thanks for the inspiration! :D

  31. this was fun to read, yes to zero 7... no to the flavour blue. blue smarties are not my fav!

  32. Oh I love reading such posts in the morning, after a long night out, along with some breakfast and coffee <3
Who took the picture of your hand? It's so beautiful! I really like the way it's lighted and your hand is beautiful, Jennie! (I don't want to sound like a creep, but it's rare to see hand pictures of people!)
I also was obsessed with the O.C. when I was young. Still, when I hear certain songs from their soundtrack, I can remember the exact scene it played to (like "Hello sunshine, come in to my life" - Seth and Summer ... or "The Dice" when it was New Year's eve, the clock was ticking down and Ryan came running in and was kissing Marissa in slow-motion ... ahhh, pity it ended so early!)

    1. P.S.: Look, bunny warmers! So cute :) bunny warmers!

    2. Thank you, I took it myself! <3

    3. Oh and those bunny warmers are the cutest!! xo

  33. Really loved reading this tag- and I love a bit of Sailor Jerry's rum too!
    Daniella x

    1. I think it's just an overload of information in one go! x

  35. love this tag!!♥ also reminiscing on those sweet summer days when i worried about nothing...

    xoxo hobovogue.com ღ
