The Christmas Tag!

This is my most favourite time of the year so I was super excited to be tagged by Ana to do the Christmas Tag! I know it's only the start of the month & maybe a tiny bit early for this, but I just couldn't wait any longer! Are you excited for Christmas this year? I'm looking forward to taking a break from work & Uni for a week & instead doing, well, not very much at all!

It has to be either National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, which I only saw for the first time last year (crazy I know!), A Christmas Carol, which I remember watching every year when I was younger or Elf, which is just plain hilarious!

Anything red, gold or glittery instantly puts me in a good mood & has me feeling super festive!

When I was younger I was always allowed to choose one present to open on Christmas Eve and then I had to wait until Christmas Day. Now my mama and I are a little impatient and always exchange gifts on Christmas Eve. Mark makes me wait until Christmas Day though, you can tell he's the sensible one in our relationship!

Ooh, this is a difficult one. I would say Stella by Stella McCartney but that's a scent I love all year round, so I think I'll go for Vanille & Narcisse by L'Occitane, which is a beautiful warm scent with a base of vanilla so it's not too heavy.

Christmas for me has a few very distinct scents that I associate most with the holidays. I adore warm ginger, almond & cinnamon scents that remind me of baking yummy Christmas cookies and any kind of red berry or fresh red apple scent.

A hot chocolate with a touch of peppermint & some marshmallows is the way to my heart during this season. It's so yummy!

Ahh, can I choose both? I think I'll go with Gingerbread Men though, because I have really fond memories of decorating them, probably very badly, when I was really small! I remember having a lot of fun eating them too... I was a chubby child!

White Christmas by Bing Crosby because it's one of those songs that instantly brings back so many happy memories from my childhood, it's really nostalgic for me.

I have, but only once! I grew up living in the south of England where it very rarely snowed enough to even scrape together a couple of snowballs. For some reason now I've moved to the midlands, even though it snows a lot here, I haven't made one yet. Maybe I'll make one this year if it snows enough!

Spending quality time with those I love most & taking time to really appreciate the wonderful people I have in my life. Sure things aren't always perfect, but nothing is and sometimes I'm very guilty of focusing too much on the not-so-great things. ...And I do love those big tins of Quality Street and excuse to snuggle up on the sofa watching a lot of films with the fire roaring away. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.

I tag... YOU!
What is your favourite thing about Christmas?

Love, Jennie
xoxo

  4. Oooh this is making me feel all festive! It definitely wouldn't be Christmas without the giant Quality Street tin, I'm sure they must make all their profit in December.

I'm never allowed to open presents on Christmas Eve but actually I find it quite fun, I still get just as excited on Christmas Eve as I did when I was little. I'm such a child! :D
