Winter Warmers from Topman!

When thinking about my favourite high street shops I can't say that Topman would have been very high up on that list, until last week. I foolishly assumed it was a strictly boy only shop and I wouldn't find anything in there that I would like or that I could wear. I'm not particularly experimental when it comes to fashion pieces anymore & maybe if I were still in my teens it would have been a shop I would have ventured into before now. It turns out I was wrong and I feel like I may have been missing out on some seriously cute pieces for a long time, even with my lack of adventurousness with clothing! Armed with a voucher (thank you, Topman!) I was let loose on the website to pick out anything that particularly took my fancy to tie in with their His & Her's Collection here. There are a lot of things on the website that I would say are unisex, which is not only a fabulous idea, it's potentially very, very bad for my bank balance.
Tartan Reindeer Jumper* (£38) // Tartan Scarf* (£14) similar here // Red Fingerless Gloves* (£12) // Reindeer Socks* (£3)

I opted for a little bit of a winter warmer theme and I couldn't resist having a little peek at their Christmas jumper selection. There were a few I really liked but in the end the little red reindeer won me over. I got this in a size M so it would be oversized and extra, extra cosy, which will be perfect for snuggling up in on Christmas morning. I think an S would have been plenty roomy enough though and I'm about a size 12, so I think it's great that they go down to an XXS in their knitwear. I'm really impressed with the quality of this jumper, I wasn't expecting it to be as chunky as it is & the design is really cute.

Next I stopped by the glove section because, well, I think I'm a little bit addicted to buying gloves. That's okay though, right? I mean, no one likes cold hands! I spied these fingerless lovelies in the same colours as the jumper and thought they looked pretty cosy. I'm all about gloves of the fingerless variety because it means I don't have to faff about taking them on & off when I'm buying my morning coffee. I'm not totally bowled over with the quality of these, but I'm not disappointed either. I'll be surprised if these last more than one winter because I think the knit will loosen around the thumb pretty quickly, but they're super cosy so that makes up for it.

Tartan scarves are everywhere right now and I had been keeping my eyes peeled for the perfect one for me. I'm super excited to have finally found one I love. The deep blues and greens really sold me on this one & I think the thin tassels are a really cute addition. I actually wasn't expecting it to be as soft and warm as it is, so I'm really pleased and I think this will be in my winter wardrobe for at least a couple of years. I can't spot this version online anymore but the red is equally as lovely, I think.

Lastly at this time of year, who can resist a good pair of novelty socks?! I definitely can't & these sweet reindeer with super red shiny noses (must.resist.bursting.into.song!) absolutely had to find their way into my basket one way or another! How could I resist those little faces? Plus, they actually fit me pretty well and I'm a UK shoe size 7. They will definitely be helping to keep my feet warm this winter.
Thank you for the fun challenge, Topman! You've definitely converted me to your ways.
But I'm not sure I should thank you for the damage you're now going to do to my bank balance...

Have you ever shopped at Topman for yourself?
Would it be a shop you would pop into for a look?

Love Jennie
xoxo

  2. Those gloves, I don't think you can ever have too many pairs of gloves. Also, I thought topman was just the mens version of topshop, so wouldn't have thought to look for things there either.

  10. Some really great buys here; I especially love your tartan scarf <3

Topman have some great slogan tees & dare I say it, I reckon they knock spots of the actual Topshop sometimes, much more variety and exciting finds in there! Usually I have a peek in their for my boyfriend but you have definitely inspired me to have a look for myself now ;)
