This definitely sounds more exciting that it really was, but getting to stay in a nice hotel with a very comfortable bed and having a few hours downtime in a fancy bar with some fun people a made the less-than-fun days not quite so bad.
I'm always drawn to pinafore dresses and when bonprix invited me to pick out a couple of pieces as part of their Style Cases campaign, this was the first thing I chose. It's not really my usual style at all & I definitely recommend sizing up for that extra comfort factor, but it's sweet. For evening drinks I wore this sparkly dress with a nice blazer. You really can't go wrong with a bit of sparkle and it's easy to dress down with some tights so I didn't look too crazily over the top.
Make up wise I kept it simple. I think I'm finally mastering packing light...it's only taken me 24 years! Instead of a liquid foundation I took my Pur Minerals powder foundation because my skin has been feeling a little on the oilier side for some reason and I love how this makes my skin look. Mineral foundation is one of my favourite make up products, if my skin weren't usually so dry I would use them all the time for sure!
The Rimmel blush is in the shade Santa Rose and oh my goodness, it's so pretty. I love how small and fuss-free the packaging is too. Sometimes the best things really do come in tiny packages! I'm still really enjoying the Maybelline Brow Drama, it's perfect for if you don't really want to fill in your brows with a pencil but you'd still like something to keep them in place and not looking a little unruly. For lips I took my Lord & Berry lipstick in glazed pink, which doesn't seem to be the most popular of lipsticks but I think it's quite nice especially with a pretty gloss over the top.
Do you manage to pack light or are you guilty of taking things 'just in case'?
