This Week #13 - Hot Chocolate & Children's Books!

Exercise! I know right?! Who am I and what have I done with Jennie? I'm at the point where I just want to feel a little healthier and be a little kinder to my body. It's the only one I've got after all and there are a few changes I need to make that will hopefully make a big difference to how I feel.

I'm beginning to think that REN can do no wrong with their products. The V-Cense Youth Vitality Day Cream* has very quickly found its way into my morning skincare routine and I think it's wonderful. It provides a really nice base for make up, hydrates without feeling too heavy and it's supposed to protect against pollution. It's not cheap, but I'm beginning to think that it's worth every penny!
A mug of yummy hot chocolate before bed has been my favourite way to end the day recently. It's comforting and really helps to curb any sweet cravings throughout the day because I know I've got this to look forward to.

Voices in the Park by Anthony Browne is such a beautiful book for little ones and even not-so-little ones!  I'm reading this for my University essay and I just think it's utterly wonderful! The full colour illustrations are so engaging and the story is simple but so meaningful.

Are you having a lovely weekend? I hope so!

  1. I feel more inspired to keep fit...but that could be to the warmer weather...and the prospect of having to reveal parts of my previously covered bodyparts!!

  11. Hurrah for fitness! Honestly since starting regular exercise I feel so much better about life. My mood is lifted and, rather paradoxically, I have far more energy. Love that Sia song too!

  17. oh i've been loving the options hot chic for years! i don't have it nearly often enough, i do have a stash of the individual sachets in the kitchen right now though… i think the warmer weather cooling up (hopefully) in the next few months will probably encourage exercise naturally, i find that in spring and summer i'm always healthier just because of the warmer seasons and fresh produce :) x

  19. I love your song choice. This is exactly why I read blogs. I never would have clicked on that song as it's really not in my usual musical comfort zone... put it on a cool blog though and I'm all over it! hahaha Thanks for a great post :)

  20. Love the song! I've never heard it before and it's great. I've heard such good things about REN but have never tried it and always on the look out for some new products to try. Need to get back on the exercise band wagon, well done for getting into a routine! Lianne xx
