|W7 London Eyes Eye Shadow Palette* (£5.49)|
New for spring 2014 from W7 is this fabulous looking eyeshadow palette. I like the mix of neutrals, light pastels and slightly deeper, more smoky shades. It's one of those palettes that's really pretty to look at and I think that it'll prove to be quite versatile. There are lots of bronze shades that could create a beautiful neutral look, the light aqua blue would look stunning on the lower lash line for a fun flash of colour for spring and the dark purple, moss green or black could be added for a smokey eye.
There are quite a few light shades that look very similar both in the pan and when used on the eyes. The pigmentation of a lot of these lighter shades isn't the best, but they do make nice base colours and are quite handy for blending as well as highlighting the inner corners. I do think there was the potential to include a little more variety, perhaps a few more pastel colours and some taupes would have been nice. The darker colours are much more pigmented. I especially like the deep grape purple, the bronze, and the four colours on the right of the palette.
All the shades feel pretty soft. A lot of them are a little on the powdery side and there's a little bit of fall out, but I think if they were applied with a damp brush that could be avoided. W7 are a brand that I'm quite impressed with. Their products are always so affordable and the quality is pretty good. I definitely think a lot of their products make a really nice introduction into the world of make up.
