To Do List: October

  • Set up my new desk & attempt to keep it tidy. I'm going to pick it up today and I'm ridiculously excited to have my own workspace that's not the kitchen table or the sofa. Am I finally becoming a real grownup? I hope so!
  • When inspiration hits, write! It doesn't matter if it ends up not being very good at all.
  • Read some non-fiction. I'm very choosy with it, to the point where I almost never end up reading any, but it's definitely time to branch out a little.
What's on your October to-do list?

  1. I get the desk thing, I wish I had the room for one, there's just something really lovely about having a space that's just yours to work at and arrange. I hope to see some updates on any non-fiction that you find that's worth reading :)

  2. I've got a fun day of tidying and de-cluttering my flat ahead of me today so keeping it tidy is on my to-do list! I'd also like to get back to reading more - I haven't read a book in about 2 months which is ridiculous. Hope this is the start of a lovely month for you :) x

  3. I definitely need to start reading more non-fiction as well. When I read a biography I really enjoy it, but actually making the effort to pick one out is hard.

  4. Looks like you've got a very good to-do list, there. This month I need to keep myself fully organised with all my mini uni deadlines, and enjoy my birthday! Hopefully that last one should be preeeeetty easy :) xx

  5. This month I want to stop time while I'm visiting London and stay there forever ;) On a more serious note, I want to finally make some changes to my blog that I've been wanting to do for a year. Indecisiveness at its best :D

  6. I think reading more fiction should be on my list, the only thing I ever read these days are business books and historical biographies!

  7. I am exactly the same when it comes to reading non-fiction, it has to be something that really interests me. My October to do list includes finally re-writing the essay I'm supposed to be giving in for English, whoops! xxx

  9. Oooh, I'd love a desk! Unfortunately I live with my boyfriend's parents, and we have nowhere to put one (or nowhere we're allowed to put one, anyway!). And yes, a desk is the definitive sign of being an adult!

  10. I think I agree with all of these! I'm terrible when it comes to writing, ever since starting uni I've pretty much stopped, I have to write so much for uni & my blog that I just don't want to write for me anymore! xx

    1. It can be difficult to fit everything in where there are lots of things we feel we need to do. What we want to do can so easily fall to the bottom of the to-do list xx

  11. I thought buying a desk would make me super productive but it's just some extra space to hold more mess in my room, maybe I'm not quite ready for organisation yet :') Nice to do list, hope you have an inspiring month! I think my to-do list will just be numerous attempts to manage my time wisely

  15. Tidy is definitely one of mine! I pretty much let everything go on the run up to my time off, so now I've got to get back into it for October.

And get back to the gym - same reasons as above! :)

  16. I'd like to get my flat organised in October - after painting a couple of rooms in our first week here I feel like we ran out of steam, but we've ordered some new furniture and I'm excited to get back on track to making it feel like our home. I'd also like to drink more water and eat less sugar - but these are on my to-do lists every month and I never really manage it!
