Dear August

It's Saturday morning as I sit, propped up in bed, typing this. I have just finished writing the first post on my book blog for a long time, and I'm feeling so wonderfully enthused. About books. About life. About everything. It's been a while since I chose to sit down and type here on the same day I am going to publish the post. I'd got it into my head that if it was after 8am it was simply much too late to write anything. And now I come to really think about that, the more absurd it sounds. With no idea where that even came from in the first place I'm removing such nonsense from my mind immediately.

There's not really a lot going on right now, just trying to figure things out and decide what to pursue. But I appear to have discovered the wonder that is double chocolate digestive biscuits. A chocolate biscuit, covered in chocolate, with chocolate chips! So I suppose they're triple chocolate really. It was quite by accident. I meant to pick up a packet of dark chocolate digestives, but I think these were in the wrong place on the shelf and I clearly wasn't paying much attention. Let's call it a happy accident though, because they're definitely one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth.  (...okay, mind out of the gutter now!)

Anyway, here's to the start of what will hopefully be a wonderful month for us all. I'm hoping that the British weather will remember it's summer and grant us at least a few days of continuous sunshine and warmth. Fingers crossed!

Right, I must go and rescue little Ralphie bunny. He's made himself a paper fort but I'm not sure he quite remembers the way out and it's breakfast time - he gets grumpy when his veggies are late!
