Early morning mist clearing over the hills, slowly revealing the neighbouring village in the distance. Gingerbread. The opportunity to wear my favourite Gryffindor scarf again. Closing chilly fingers around a mug of hot chocolate. The promise of Halloween. Everything's better when it's a bit witchy. Hazy sunshine and crisp winds. Stargazing. Film nights: The Addams Family, Dead Poets Society, 10 Things I Hate About You, The Breakfast Club, Fantastic Beasts, Perks of being a Wallflower. Knitwear. Sparklers. Pumpkin carving. Tea lights. Warming bowls of homemade soup. New playlists featuring old favourites: Death Cab, Anthony and the Johnsons, Nirvana. Caramel apples. Exercising without melting instantly. Warm pyjamas. Endless TV dramas. Peanut butter and jam on toast. Rereading Harry Potter. Spectacular sunsets. Extra blankets. Hibernating with a good book at every opportunity. Stepping outside and the first breath of cold morning air catching the back of my throat. Going back to University. New beginnings.
