From September 2011 any items or products I have received for free or bought with a gift card/discount code provided for me by a company or their PR will be marked with a diamond (♦) I have seen a lot of other bloggers do this and I think it’s the easiest and quickest way to be completely honest & upfront. I have always stated items received for free in the body of each applicable blog post but I understand that those not reading the whole post thoroughly occasionally miss this.
I offer a small amount of sponsorship advertising each month that is available to anyone (fellow bloggers, etsy shop owners, indie companies, photographers etc) providing I feel my readers would be interested in finding out more about them. You can read more about sponsorship here.
Some links on sailorjennie.com are affiliate links & this in no way dictates the pages I choose to link to; I always try to search for the cheapest or most accessible website for each product I'm mentioning in a post. Occasionally I may put up a banner, which would be in the sidebar of my blog, with a click through link containing affiliate data. I will only add such banners to my page if I feel that the company/campaign is a good fit with Sailboat. These aspects in no way affect my honesty, I have said it before, I would never mention anything I don't wholeheartedly recommend.
