Eyes Lips Face is a brand that I love for affordable, good quality make up and I definitely count the lipsticks from the mineral line as some of my absolute favourites. Before going through my collection I thought I had more of them than I actually do so I'm thinking a sneaky order might be necessary very soon!
The first lipstick I tried from the range is called Nicely Nude which is a pretty neutral fairly light pink colour. At first I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting more of a true nude rather than a pinky nude, but I actually really love the colour so I got over it! It's very similar to my lip colour and therefore a really natural lipstick that will go with so many different looks and be appropriate for many different situations. I wore this to a couple of job interviews last year and it didn't give me that 'oh my gosh you've got really pink lips' look but it was just enough to look as though I'd made an effort. Does that make sense? In the tube this has a really pretty gold shimmer to it but you don't end up with glittery lips at all which is nice.
As summer was approaching I wanted to branch out from my usual pinks and decided to get Cool Coral. This looks so gorgeous in the tube and the colour this gives to the lips doesn't disappoint. On my lips this is quite a pinky coral that's super pretty and also really wearable. I've really missed being able to wear this, when I had pink and purple in my hair corals just looked so bad on my complexion, but now my hair is pretty much back to it's natural colour I'm going to be wearing this more often!
Natural Nymph is what I was expecting Nicely Nude to be and I think this shade was introduced to the line a little later along with a few other colours. When I want a nude lip, which isn't as often as it used to be, I always reach for this one. I don't find it drying at all like I do with GOSH Darling and it's also doesn't wash me out which the Darling lipstick can do. It's more of a peachy nude which suits my complexion nicely and I really like it.
The last mineral lipstick I have is Pouty Petal and it's probably my favourite out of the four. Essentially it's a slightly darker and rosier version of Nicely Nude so while it still looks quite natural, it's a bit more obvious. It has the same gold shimmer in the tube but it doesn't look or feel glittery on the lips. It's just a pretty, very wearable lipstick that I use a lot.
The formulation of all of these lipsticks is wonderful. I don't find them drying, they last a decent amount of time too & at only £3.50 each I think these are really good additions to anyone's make up collection!
Have you tried the mineral lipsticks from Eyes Lips Face? What's your favourite ELF product?

ReplyDeletethe natural nymph colour is lovely, i really like that colour! im off to check out this elf brand... :)
ReplyDeleteI have natural nymph, I always top it off w/ a gloss though :)
ReplyDeleteGoing to check out cool coral and pouty petal! Thanks for the swatches x
ReplyDeleteI have to try natural nymph. Heard so many amazing things about Darling, but my lips are super duper red naturally, so nothing neautralises them which is such a pain! Hopefully this'll work. Thank you for mentioning it lovey :) x
ReplyDeletenatural nymph looks to be the perfect nude lip colour. thanks for sharing these, its a great insight into the elf products :)
ReplyDeleteNatural Nymph and Cool Coral looks absolutely lovely! I would buy these but I don't generally buy off elf as I find it a bit of a faff, and i'm too lazy! haha xxx
ReplyDeleteI have Natural Nymph, I place my first order in December. I might place a new one, but its more expensive in the UK, and I took advantage of the fact I was going back to Canada!
ReplyDeleteI like your Nicely Nude and Pouty Petal. I wanted to try a nude one, so for this price, I took Natural Nymph, but it is hit and miss, depending on what I am wearing and what makeup I have on the eye.
Great review!
Pouty Petal looks like such a pretty colour. I think it's great how you've included close-up images of the bullets of the lipsticks :) xx
ReplyDeletethey look gorgeous, i need to try these!xx
ReplyDeleteYour review is so complete, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI never saw those lipstick before, but I must say they are really interesting.
Nicely Nude and Natural Nymph are my fav! They are perfect for everyday wear.
Mmm, these look great! I'm on a lip product ban until I use up some of my stash but these will be going on my list for when it is!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any of these, but the swatches look great! I'll have to look on their website soon :)
ReplyDeleteI actually like the look of all of them. (Quelle surprise!) I considered getting some when I made my order in December but the ones I wanted were out of stock and you can't see the colours very well on the site so it's hard to choose. This is why posts like this are so helpful!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Love the look of Natural Nymph and Pouty Petal - really lovely shades.
ReplyDeleteThink I need to buy afew lipsticks from ELF now :)

I really like that pouty petal color!
ReplyDeleteI think Pouty Petal is my favorite too! And you're so lucky Natural Nymph works on you. On me it looks like I'm wearing concealer on my lips :/ haha
ReplyDeleteI've never tried ELF but I'm really tempted too. I like the coral lipstick, I have a bit of a thing about coral lips at the moment so I might invest.
ReplyDeleteOooh I've only ordered brushes from ELF (v impressed with them)but these lipsticks do look great. I recently bought GOSH Dar'ing but it doesn't suit me at all :(
ReplyDeleteI always browse the elf website but haven't got round to buying anything yet (not helped by the fact that the 1 of the things I want is always sold out!). These lipsticks are such good shades though, and such a bargain. I've also got a bit of a mineral make up obsession at the moment - I'm a complete convert!
