Dress: Primark. £6.
Cardigan: Noa Noa. £30.
Tights: Asda. £2.
My thighs have pretty much always been my biggest insecurity, they clearly didn’t bother me enough to give up chocolate and crisps and take up running, but in my head I definitely thought they were a lot bigger than they really are. For someone as tall as I am, I have oddly short legs so in comparison with the rest of my body they will always look a little stubby but if they actually look like they do in these pictures in real life, then I’m pretty happy! You won’t see me parading around in hot pants or anything like that (don’t worry, your eyes are safe!) but for now I’m embracing my chubby thighs and maybe when my boyfriend starts making me go running with him (meanie!) or I get a puppy (fingers crossed!), they’ll tone up a little bit. I bought this dress from Primark at the same time I got this lovely. I’ve always found the majority of Primark dresses to be on the short side so I did umm and ahh about buying this but in the end I thought it was too cute to resist. When I first got this home and tried it on I wasn’t keen because it’s quite sheer but apparently sheer things are very ‘in’ right now! Look at me being all trendy I never thought that would happen, and I actually don’t care that my bra is totally visible.

I apologise for my face there, sometimes taking outfit photographs makes me go a little bit crazy! I really can't wait until I'm able to
Have you ever seen a photograph of yourself that changed your perspective on how you feel about yourself to a positive one?
xoxo
You look absolutely lovely in these photos, you are effin' gorgeous and about as far from fat as you could get! Anons are idiots.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I look in the mirror and think I look okay and feel good about myself but I find it difficult to then recreate that on the camera!
I really like your Primark dress too, it's really nice.
xxx
You look lovely as ever! And as far from fat as can be!!
ReplyDeleteI used to think I was fat in my younger years even though my nick name at school was skeleton! At 5 8 tall and weighing just under 9 stone I looked ill and it's only looking back at photos that I've realised I need extra weight on my bones. Granted I have a little too much extra at the mo, but I shall focus on loosing those now my hols are booked. Amazing how a bikini can focus you on exercise and diet!
X x x
You look lovely, I really like the colour of that lipstick :) xx
ReplyDeleteSome people are so imature with so much time on there hands!! You are no where near fat! Your gorgeous :) & I love your outfit! XO
ReplyDeleteYou're beautiful, Its great that you're not letting anyone get you down!
ReplyDeletexx
Outfit photos have made me appreciate my body a bit more too. I'm really self-concious about my hips/bum and arms but after looking at some of my photos I don't feel half as bad about them now.
ReplyDeleteI think you look great in these photos and your hair and make up is always perfect. I love the dress! Hopefully I can track it in my local Primark. I have the horse print peter pan collar version but I NEEEEED this one too!
xx
I love your hair Jennie, always have!
ReplyDeleteLovely dress :) Make sure your boyfriend eases you into running, it's something that you need build upon though, rather than going in full force otherwise you won't enjoy it. But good luck.
Looking forward to the new pictures you have planned.
I have had a few pictures of me taken where I've had to do a double take because the girl looked too pretty to be me. It's strange to see yourself through other people's eyes sometimes. I know you shouldn't rely on other people's opinions to make you feel good about yourself, but someone very good looking recently told me that I didn't need to worry about 'trying to be sexy' as I already was *cringe I know, but it was sincere* and I've had a spring in my step ever since :)
xx
You always look amazing and your hair is certainly supermodel worthy. The primark dress looks really good on you too.
ReplyDeleteaw i've always thought you have a lovely little face, you're very gorgeous so really, don't worry about it. And of course, not fat at all. I wish I was skinnier, and I'm sure most girls do, it's just one of those things.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you're getting more comfortable with yourself, those times are the best.

Dress looks gorgeous on you, really suits your figure. Sorry that you've had some anon nasty comments, but you seriously have nothing to worry about - your gorgeous and not at all fat! x
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit hunny, the dress is super lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI think we all get the shit anon twats, but it best just to ignore- even though that is almost the hardest thing to do.
You look gorgeous, as long as you're happy with your self, and can say 'yup, I feel good in this outfit' that's all that matters. I am some what a poser, this has always been me. But since I've put on weight it has been hard, doig outfit posts though, and seeing myself in a different light than me just looking in the mirror thinking bad about self, has been really good. and feedback, and comments on them is always lovely to receive
xx
I'm glad outfit posts have helped boost your confidence Jennie, because you really are such a lovely, caring and beautiful girl! I think they've benefited me in the same way too, for someone who never had much confidence before, these posts, writing a blog in general and receiving nice feedback has made me much more confident and happy. I am absolutely in LOVE with your dress! Can't believe it's only £6 as well, the material and print is lovely. Also, that last photo is beyond cute! xxxx
ReplyDeleteI think you're so beautiful!<3
ReplyDeletepretty^^
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures and what a gorgeous outfit! I am in love with that dress, primark dresses are always good for me because I don't seem to feel comfortable if things are that little bit longer.
ReplyDeleteAnd you should never feel insecure about your body, you are absolutely stunning! xxx
Jennie you are beautiful just the way you are, I know that might sound cliché, but you really are. Again I can’t believe people actually are so rude to you ( I guess I don’t really do outfit posts, so luckily haven’t experienced much of it), it’s so saddening that people feel the need to try and bring others down. That dress is lovely and the J necklace looks o so perfect too xxx
ReplyDeleteYour make up is always so flawless! And your thighs are just lovely as they are!
ReplyDeletePenny x
You look fantastic, never let anyone tell you differently! If it helps knowing, i'm a complete pear shape, there is 1-2 sizes differnce between my top and bottom half, and 8 inches between my waist and hips! (small waist, big hips), they've always been my insecurities! You dress great, and ignore any comments other than lovely ones, everyone deserves to feel confident, and im glad you do :) xx
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! And ahhh puppy! This dress really suits you :)

You look gorgeous. I love the sheer dress and your make-up looks amazing. x
ReplyDelete@Rosie - Totally agree! The camera sometimes doesn't photograph things that well at all. It's all about how you feel! <3
ReplyDelete@Please may I? - Thank you! Absolutely!
@Tara - It's a really lovely lipstick. Super affordable too!
@Hannah - Thank you lovely!
@Lauren - <3
@Charlene - That's wonderful, you shouldn't feel self conscious because you're beautiful! Thank you! I love all the horse print things they have at the moment!
@em_lysk - I'm sure I'll never enjoy running! I'd rather have a puppy to walk hehe. Aww that's so nice!
@Chlo - <3
@kay eh tea ei. - Of course, there are always little changes I'm sure most of us would love to make, but you shouldn't let them completely overtake you. Thank you :)
@Katie Styles - Thank you <3
@Steph - You're beautiful lovely!

I'm so glad your not letting the mean comments let you down! They don't deserve a second thought. This outfit looks stunning on you :) The dress is so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteL x
I've always been self consious about my legs too, but I am slowly learning to love them :)
ReplyDeleteHow can people be so mean? You have one of the prettiest face I've ever seen and you're definitely not fat!
ReplyDeleteI'm not always in love with pictures of me but I am quite comfortable in my own skin. I'd prefer myself with 5 pounds less but that's no big deal and what I find the most important is that I mostly look what I like in the mirror in the morning. Nothing else really matters, does it?
@Lily - Thank you lovely!
ReplyDelete@Half Dressed - <3
@Beccy - I thin it takes time to feel properly comfortable with who you are. :)
@Musing on Beauty - I think some people just have way too much time on their hands! Exactly, it's all about how you feel!
xoxo
You are such a cutie!!! Absolutely adorable! And I love love loooooove your curves! You are like this super sweet sexy cute beautiful doll. The last two pics are my absolute favourite - you have such beautiful features...
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful evening/day! x
u`re not fat at all.. u`re so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteyou look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI am exactly the same as you, I'm quite small & my legs are short so I always think they look fat/stupid when I have flat shoes on etc but I'm pretty sure we just work ourselves up in our heads!
I love your attitude :) x
Such a cute dress.x
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous cardigan and your makeup looks lovely, you're glowing!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this post. I cannot even begin to explain how much blogging my outfits has helped my confidence.
ReplyDeleteSod anons, you look bloody amazing. I love that Primark dress/top on you x
@Little Rus - N'aww thank you! :)
ReplyDelete@Miuri - Thank you!
@Laura Jane - Totally agree! Thinking about things too much/always focusing on them makes them seem so much worse!
@Joanne Nicola - <3
@Raffles Bizarre - Thank you! :)
@Laura - I think blogging brings so many positives into our lives that we weren't expecting at the start!
xoxo
OMG it saddens me that people are so pathetic that they have to let their insecurities out oon others over a social medie site! Do not listen to silly people like that, i love your outfit posts and i think you always look beautiful! xx :o)
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about outfit posts, they are my favourite to do because they are a confidence boost and I love hearing people's opinions on my clothes. I, like every other girl in the world, have insecurities and I like that my blog allows me to shoe the best side of me!
ReplyDeleteAnons make me so mad, I've been lucky enough to avoid them so far, but how people can take time out of their day to abuse a stranger baffles me. You are in NO WAY fat, but you already know this, your figure is enviable! So are your clothes. make up, hair, etc etc! Keep doing what you're doing, love you! X
Burn the Blonde
You look gorgeous, you are NOT fat at all, i think you're fine as you are, we all hate bits of our body, at least we can hide them lol! Love your outfit! x
ReplyDeleteYou are beautiful. You always look lovely in your outfit posts, really nice hair and amazing makeup.
ReplyDeleteThe person(s) typing these comments obviously have soo many insecurities with themselves that they want to try and make as many other people as they can paranoid about themselves.
I'm glad you haven't listened :)
People can be so cruel and heartless. Don't worry about those what those few tramps have to say. You seem a lovely person, have the most beautiful hair and face! and a great style. Your posts are kind and well written and i always look forward to reading them. X
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly not fat!! You look gorgeous, you have a lovely figure. I have similar thoughts to you on outfit posts, I want to lose weight but am rather too lazy about it!
ReplyDeleteI love that dress/top on you, looks gorgeous!
I love the last photo! :D <3 I've actually liked every single photo you've posted to this blog, thank you!
ReplyDeleteHugs from Finland,
M
I love your dress <3
ReplyDelete@Lulu B - I know, they must have way too much time on their hands! Thank you!
ReplyDelete@Sarah - Of course, insecurities are part of being human but those imperfections are what makes us who we are! Anons are silly silly people! Thank you beautiful, love you lots!
@StyleFrost - Haha exactly! <3
@Charli - N'aww thank you beautiful!
@smileystacey - Aww I LOVE your username, always good to be smiley! Thank you lovely, that means a lot <3

Trust me, you don't need a reason to feel insecure, jealous girl over here haha, but honestly you have the nicest figure & a gorgeous face, it's kinda perfectly proportioned...haha. Okay, i'll leave before you get scared *creeps away*.
ReplyDeleteOh and one last thing, it's funny how the anons are doing it while they're 'anons' hey? xx
you are definitely not fat. you have a great body! and your legs are amazing?! i don't understand what you see!! i'm glad these posts boost your confidence though, you have every reason to feel confident. you're beautiful, lady. xo

@Sophie - Haha aww! I know, they wouldn't say stuff like that to people they know in real life. They're silly!
@KLEE - Thank you so much for saying that! <3
xoxo
My god woman you are STUNNING
ReplyDeleteAlways look at this dress but never pick it up. You look great in it, it's making me think twice about it now!
ReplyDeleteI really dislike people who post hateful comments anon, they are just jealous cowards who have nothing better to do. They are obviously extremely insecure to pick on other people. Ok rant over haha!
ReplyDeleteI dont think you look fat in the slightess, you are gorgeous as the picture show! Love the make up it looks flawless!
Sophie
x
Glad you are ignoring the haters! I think you look lovely and I love your outfit posts :) my thighs have always been my biggest insecurity too so I sympathise! x
ReplyDeletei have 2 things to tell you:
ReplyDelete1) it is very clear that u r not fat at all, whoever calls you fat must be crazy! dont even mention it again..
2) even if u r over 100kg, i dont think that nobody will even bother to look at your body rather than ur simply GORGEOUS face!!!u r extremely beautiful!!!
Love that last picture! And if someone doesn't appreciate you, that's their problem. Comment moderation I guess. There will always be immature trolls.
ReplyDelete@Claire - N'aww thank you so much for saying that!
ReplyDelete@Phoebe - It's a really cute dress, I love the print. I just wear it around the house as I'm not sure how confident I'd be in it not exposing something I wouldn't want exposed in public haha.
@Sophie - They have far too much free time to leave horrible anonymous comments. It's silly! Thank you sweets!
@Lydia - Thank you! I think thighs are a bit of a thing for a lot of girls. I do wish I had perfectly toned ones, but without the effort you have to put it to get them LOL
@Miss arch - Thank you! <3
@Alyse - Haha thanks! That's partly why my comments are on approval, I don't get a lot of nastiness anymore which is amazing!
xoxo
Everything you said in this post was brilliant! You are gorgeous so forget the anons. Love the dress & where, where, where is your necklace from? :) ♥
ReplyDelete@Katie - Thank you, I will do! :) I'm not sure, it was a birthday present when I was 16!

I think you are a gorgeous person not only do you look perfect but most important you are perfect in your eyes and that's what counts and you have a beautiful personality unlike those who have nothing better to do than judge others!
ReplyDeleteWow, you look gorgeous and your new dress from Primark? Awesome. I always hear about that place but have never been...Maybe next time I'm in London...
ReplyDeleteAesthetic Lounge
omg this dress is adorable, i want! you're so adorable
ReplyDeleteI have this dress, and I'm actually wearing it right now. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to hear that you are comfortable in your own skin. It's a hard feeling to achieve, and I am definitely not there yet but hope to be soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the cardigan!
Love the dress. you look gorgeous sweetie :) x
ReplyDeleteyou look beautiful in this dress Jennie <3
ReplyDeleteYou look so stunning, that dress is adorable! I agree, as long as you're healthy & happy with your body, it really doesn't matter what other people say about it. Usually the people who do make those mean comments are anon & have their own insecurities. Just forget them & don't let them bother you :) For every hater you have so many other people who adore you! Sooo glad to hear you're comfortable in your own skin <3 xoxoxo
ReplyDeletenice blog posting.
ReplyDeleteThe reason people post mean comments under 'anon' is that they like to hide behind the internet and make themselves feel better about their sad lives. I wouldn't take any negative anon comments seriously or even spend any time worrying about them.
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon your blog whilst looking for a review for a Joe Brown Dress and I was so impressed I showed it to my daughter. She loves make up and fashion and now loves your blog. I think you are a great role model. :D (And definately not fat!)
