You may have seen me mention Ruby Rae Love in my recent Five Things I Love Friday post but if not then it’s a new online jewellery store run by the effortlessly beautiful Ella Masters that I think everyone should know about it! There are a lot of wonderful online jewellery stores around at the moment but I really think that Ruby Rae Love stands out as being something very beautiful & unique.
As soon as I saw the pieces that Ella makes I fell in love. If you were to ask me to describe my jewellery taste right now I’d simply have to link you to Ruby Rae Love and I wouldn’t have to say a single word because that site sums it up perfectly. I’m constantly striving to make my blog a positive place to be and what’s better than supporting fellow bloggers and being there to encourage everyone to shoot for their dreams? I sometimes think too much energy is dedicated to the negative aspects that I’m sure we’ve all come across recently & I've been guilty of that, but that’s not what this is about, and that’s certainly not what Ella’s shop is about! I now have a little advert in the sidebar of my blog that if you click on it, it will take you directly to the Ruby Rae Love site and I know that both Ella and I would absolutely love for you to go and have a look around! She’s not paying me for the advert or anything like that so don’t freak out or accuse me of lying like some did when I wrote this post. I’m not quite sure why it’s so hard for some to believe that sometimes people do things just to be nice and to be supportive! There's so much more to life than money! The sunshine is showing it’s smiley face once again and positivity is the way forward!
I knew straight away that I wanted to purchase something but it took me forever to decide on a piece because I think everything is super lovely. I eventually sent a bunch of links to my boyfriend, told him to pick which he liked best & I bought it. He’s a sucker for all things blue & I am too so this is what I got! Isn’t it beautiful? The agate stone is stunning and I love the contrast of the bright blue colour against the silver wire & chain.
The whole piece feels very, I’m not sure the best word to describe it, I guess very natural & quite bohemian. It reminds me of the summer time with music festivals everywhere, cocktails & BBQ’s and trips to the seaside! I’ve worn it every single day since I got it and I know I’m never going to get bored of wearing it. Knowing that someone has spent their time lovingly creating a piece of jewellery makes it instantly infinitely more special than something you can find in Topshop that you know a million people will own.
This is definitely going to be my statement summer necklace! I absolutely love that it’s on a short-ish chain so it’s always going to be the centre of an outfit and it’s not going to get lost in amongst fabric like I find longer necklaces can sometimes do. How much did I pay for this? Go on, have a guess! What do you reckon, £15? Nope, £7! What an absolutely amazing price for something so lovely & substantial!
With pieces ranging from £1.80 for a Navajo style friendship bracelet to £43 for an absolutely stunning Amethyst crystal ring I’m sure you’ll agree that there’s something for everyone and I bet you find something that you fall in love with!
I’m super sure that Ruby Rae Love is going to grow quickly and I can’t think of anyone that deserves it more than Ella. I would really love for you to let me know what your favourite piece is from the website! Have you purchased anything or is there anything that’s particularly caught your eye?
xoxo
I really love your blog! and im just trying to try make my own, if you get a chance to take a peek at it i'd really love your advice or tips on making it better :)
ReplyDeleteI've had a gander and the style of the jewellery is lovely and earthy and kind of laid back, you know? I think your necklace is beautiful, I love the length of it too. I think my favourite things from the site are the coral alpaca ring and the heart felt necklace. Lovely stuff.
ReplyDeletePS just keep doing the do. You could say that you weren't paid to breathe and someone would probably argue the toss just because they can. Much love for you and your little boat x
Your necklace is stunning, all of Ella's work is incredible. I find it really heartbreaking that we always have to explain ourselves when posting about items. It's true what you say, most of the time we actually want to support people and their work, and nearly every single time we adore and love the person attached to it. Great post. Xxxx
ReplyDeleteWha lovely stuff. That blue is stunning.

You're a star Jennie, don't let jealous people tell you otherwise. People will always find fault with people more successful than themselves, even if you WERE being paid for advertising there'd be nothing wrong with that and frankly it's noone else's business. I for one am very greatful you support small handmade businesses like myself and Ella and you deserve the same appreciation of your lovely blog!!
