Bunny Dress: Missguided - £22.99.
Black Leggings: Matalan - £6.
Uncut Ruby Ring: Studio 59 - £40.
Necklace: Handmade.
My bunny dress from Missguided is probably my favourite ever dress. It's obviously not the most flattering dress for my figure but you know, it's blue and it's got bunnies on it so it doesn't matter! It would be infinitely more flattering if I paired it with a pair of jeans instead of leggings but even though I've really tried to like jeans & find a pair that fit me well, it's just not happening. Jeans are possibly one of the most uncomfortable things I've tried to wear and none of them fit right; to accommodate my hips they're massive on the legs. No. Do not like.
Base: Witch Anti Blemish Liquid concealer shade 01, MAC Face & Body foundation shade C1, Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer shade fair & Eyes Lips Face High Definition Powder.
Lips: MAC Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick.
I hadn't listened to Adele's cover of Hiding My Heart away for ages but when Craig Colton sang it on the X Factor a couple of weeks ago I was reminded of how much I love it. Craig is one of my favourite people on the X Factor this year! Usually I'm not overly fussed about who makes it through to the live shows but I really hope he makes it!
I'm going to see Adele tomorrow evening in Leicester and I'm so far beyond excited it's silly. Is anyone else going? I know she's not been well so has postponed a lot of shows so far so I'm super happy that she's better now! If you know me you'll know I'm not a huge music person at all. I like it & will pop on almost anything in the car but the only artists I really listen to are Adele, Sia & Zero 7. What can I say, I like downbeat music! I think my boyfriend and I are going to out for dinner before, hopefully for sushi, which is something we don't get to do often enough.
Thank you so much for your truly wonderful comments on my last post. I really try not to let things get me down, especially about blogging, but sometimes it gets too much. I'm going to keep on doing what I'm doing & not let things bother me. Who cares if I don't get as many monthly hits as someone else, it's completely irrelevant. What is important is getting as much support as I did from you guys even when I was being a moaning minnie! Thank you, so so much!
What did you wear today?
xoxo
P.S. If you have any recommendations for the best long wearing black eyeliner (liquid or gel) and the best under eye concealer for dark circles that make you look like you've been punched in the face please let me know in the comments! My circles are getting worse as I get older! Eww.
Such a lovely outfit, that dress is gorgeous and the print is so adorable! x
ReplyDeleteObviously I love the dress because of the bunnies but I really think it suits you, especially the colour, as does that lipstick :) x
ReplyDeleteOh I love this dress so, so much but they sold out before I could get it. Gutted, you look so gorgeous in yours!
ReplyDeletexoxo
Not flattering? I tell you, you look better in it than i do. It doesn't look right on me, i've not worn it since i took those pics for the blog at the start of summer. I've altered it as well, and it just looks a little wonky! I think i'm just too short for it, i think. xxxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful outfit. I think it really does suit you, and your makeup also compliments it! Have a fab time seeing Adele! So so jealous of you but I'm sure it will be an amazing concert! I like the Bobbi Brown Gel liner xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute dress! Nice outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI bought the Maybelline long lasting gel eyeliner the other day and it's fab! Lasts all day and stays a nice black colour. It's only about £5.99 so it's definately worth a go.
xx

The bunny dress is so adorable! Also really like the gorgeous beams in your cottage, lots of character! My favourite liquid eyeline is l'oreal superliner, I wear it every day and it lasts until I take it off at night without fail.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your boyfriend enjoy Adele, very jealous!xx
I use loreal carbon gloss liquid liner and love it! It stays put all day long, and I use collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer and Benefit Boi-ing concealer and Benefit erase paste.
ReplyDeletexxx
You look lovely Jennie :). Cyndi looks fab on you, I must dig it out again. Have a wonderful time at Adele, will be amazing!! I agree about Craig - loved him! xo
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Adele you lucky thing x
ReplyDeleteYou have such a lovely figure, and I am loving your hair - it looks lighter? :) xxx
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the dark circles. Right now I'm using Lancome's Effacernes concealer, which is the best I've tried. It's long lasting and never creases on me. Plus it covers my deep blue circles with minimal effort.
ReplyDeleteHii!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is so cute and have fun at Adele's concert! Boyfriend's sister was meant to go for her first show but it got cancelled! Fingers crossed it won't be for you :)!
Best liquid eyeliner i've found is either Illamasqua Art of Darkness eyeliner or L'Oreal Super Liner: Carbon Gloss! both stay on for so long and doesn't smudge! Gel liner would be Mac's blacktrack :)!
Hope you're well and if you have the time, check out my YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/shulikesclothes but i don't mean this as advertising haha, just would be so cool if you could :)
Cute outfit and gorgeous hair <3
ReplyDeleteI love Adele so jealous that you're going to see her! Hope you have a lovely time :) The dress looks lovely on, I think it looks great with the leggings X
ReplyDeleteI love the dress, you are stunning :) liquid eyeliner i'd recommend barry m, relatively cheap and stays on all day :)
ReplyDeletelove your dress miss jenny :)
ReplyDeleteMy fave black eyeliners are Maybellines lasting drama gel eyeliner ( great staying power but took me a few goes to get used to how to do it with a brush) and loreal's super liner (which is a liquid with a felt tip style brush pot thing) which is idiot proof!
xXx
You look lovely, I actually think the dress really flatters your figure! The necklace is gorgeous :).
ReplyDeleteE.l.f have quite a good undereye concealer, not quite as good as I'd like it to be but it's better than most! I'd love a recommendation if you find a really good one :) x
you look lovely in the dress, the print is adorable! I think you're so pretty and as for dark circles-pah! You've got a lovely complexion but I use boots time delay cream on mine morning and night and it seems to keep the circles at bay, also the garnier roll on eye thingy is good for soothing puffy peepers.
ReplyDeleteI, like you, struggle with jeans-I'm 28 years old and have ONE pair. One. Which I found, incidentally, in a charity shop on my 28th birthday! They're perfect, high waisted, slim in the leg without cutting off the circulation, and above all: the right length!I have short legs but hate having to roll my trousers up so I was so chuffed. So keep looking, you might find some one day-hope it doesn't take you as long as it has me though!
Lots of love Amie xx

Love the necklace!!
ReplyDeleteBest undereye concealer is Bobbi Brown, particularly in combination with their corrector for severe dark circles.
Anything with bunnies on is fine by me! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd you definitely shouldn't let monthly hits bother you, the people that go on about it all the time are idiots anyway. This is your space, you enjoy it.
x
Woww you are stunning! And print on a dress is super cute :3
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous hun, your hair, the dress & the necklace are just lovely :)
ReplyDeleteJust read your last post- that seemed to get miss by me first time around. I have so much to say on the subject, I think I'm rather senstive & take things in the wrong way. I think twitter is almost worse for that then the 'blogging world' for me anyway. I think just remember why you blog, I love my blog, and I may say and do silly things, people may not agree with it & I may always want more, but that's just me

Love love love the dress! Your makeup looks amazing. I'm glad you're feeling more positive now :). Also love Craig on XF. Love XF all round actually.

I love your necklace it's beautiful and your dress is really cute. I also have horrible dark circles so I'll be popping back to see if anyone has any ideas aha.
ReplyDeletexx
WOW you look so pretty! I love the dress, the collar is beautiful xx
ReplyDeleteI love the dress, these photos are all really lovely, they have a real mysterious feel to them too, which I love.
ReplyDeleteYou are so naturally beautiful, I really admire how you have your own thing going on with regards style xxx
you can never go wrong with a Touche Éclat but it is a little eye watering in price :(
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful and that dress is so so cute! xx
ReplyDeletei love this dress so much, really wish i'd ordered it when they had it in stock. such a cute collar. best things i've found on dark circles are bobbi brown corrector, then foundation, then collection 2000 concealer & set with powder xx
ReplyDeleteA really quite good (cheap) eyeliner is the collection 2000 felt tip style eyeliner, I think they're called extreme.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress, by the by! x
I think that it suits you beautifully:) MAC Cyndi seems so much brighter on you than it looks on me!
ReplyDeleteI use collection 200 mascara and liquid eyeliner and they are both amazing! Super cheap and in my opinion, just as good as much more expensive brands. Definitely worth a go! xx
ReplyDeleteJeans are possibly one of the most uncomfortable things I've tried to wear and none of them fit right; to accommodate my hips they're massive on the legs.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean! I have to get my pants one size bigger because of my hips. :/
I love that dress on you! x
Love the outfit!
ReplyDeleteAs for dark circles - what I found made the biggest difference was getting a corrector to put on before the concealor. The best one I found was Bobbi Brown, but you do need to go instore to get colour matched which can be a pain, but the difference it made to me was incredible! Failign that I do have a pixi one that I quite like and its just a standard pink corrector for the under eye circles. Its not as good as the Bobbi Brown, but from the point of view of ordering online it's a lot simpler. Hope that's some help!
Much Love

Ahhh I LOVE Adele I'm so jealous you're going to see her! I also love that shade of lipstick on you. My recommendation for a great eyeliner..hmm I actually have a couple.
ReplyDeleteFav Liquid: CoverGirl LineExact Liquid Eyeliner
Fav Gel: Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner
& New Fav Cream: Maybelline Eyestudio Master Drama Cream pencil
Hope that helps!

I don't have any recommendations for eyeliner, but if you like Adele's cover, you may also like Brandi Carlile's original (and also some of her music in general). She's my favorite artist, and sadly she cancelled her European tour :( Enjoy the Adele concert!
ReplyDeletesuch a cute dress, your hair looks amazing here too!! you're so beautiful jennie!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty print, and absolutely perfect for you - little ralphies! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd i love that necklace too!!
Hope Adele is wonderful, i really love her songs recently, although some of them make me cry a little bit.
I've seen this dress before, but never worn so well! It looks stunning on you! :)
ReplyDeleteand your hair looks lovely too btw, so full of volume!
xx
The mabelline gel lasting eyeliner thing in a pot with the brush lasts for ages. Very black, goes on smooth and stayed on for my whole hen night. We were in a very hot club and it didn't budge. definitely recommend. x
ReplyDeleteOh this dress is SO pretty! And I think it looks really lovely on you! Bet Ralphie thinks the bunnies look fab on it too :P Hope you have fun seeing Adele!
ReplyDeleteL x
I think the dress looks lovely on you, and the bunny print is so sweet!!
ReplyDeleteI use Mac fluidline, a gel eyeliner, and it's the best I've found so far. The Bobby Brown equivalent is very good too!
I love that dress - the bunnies are too cute!
ReplyDeleteI swear by Rimmel Glam'Eyes liquid eyeliner, I use it every day and it's great. I have the same problem as you with dark under-eye circles, I'm still on the look out for the perfect concealer. At the moment I'm using a mix of Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer and Benefit Erase Paste, which is pretty good but I think there must be a better concealer out there somewhere!
Definitely recommend e.l.f. black creme eyeliner - I only tried it a couple of weeks ago but have been wearing it (or the copper variation) every day since!
ReplyDeleteAlso loving the cute print of the dress, how appropriate!
Elspeth xxx
Thank you so much for all of your comments!
ReplyDelete@Lydia - Yeah, I've been using the John Frieda lightening spray! :)
Thank you for all your concealer and eyeliner recommendations too! I've got lots of researching and reviews to read!
Lots of love
xoxo
Love that dress, especially the collar detail and cute bunny print :)
ReplyDeleteI adore your dress, the buttons up and the collar, so lovely! xo
ReplyDeleteWow, that's funny. I've never heard of anyone not liking jeans. I get why you'd think they're uncomfortable, but I recently bought a pair from Forever 21 and the material is so surprisingly soft compared to average jeans, and super comfortable! I'm not too sure how to explain properly, but they didn't feel like normal denim, even though they look it. Have a try if you can get hold of them :)
ReplyDeleteThat bunny dress is so gorgeous!! As is the scissors necklace :)
Hello :) I have nominated you for a blog award, check out my blog for more details!
