Anyway, on to my favourites for last month! How on earth is it already November? Seriously, when did that happen because I'm still back in June I think! The years really do start to fly by as you get older and I'd quite like them to slow down just a little, please! I've included a few random extras in my video which I'll pop at the end of this post if you'd like to watch. I'd really love if you would like to subscribe, you'd make my day! ♥
My favourite day time moisturiser is currently the Organic Surge Super-Intensive daily moisturiser♦ for dry skin and I love it because it really hydrates my skin, leaving it soft and plump but it doesn't leave a film or residue behind at all. It seems to really sink into the skin almost immediately and as a result my foundation always goes on perfectly over the top. I think I'll need something slightly heavier when the weather gets super cold because my skin does get extremely dry in the winter, but for now it's absolutely perfect!
I'm not really one to do a whole lot with my hair and I don't use many products at all, I'm not sure why, hair products just don't really excite me all that much. My hair had been getting a little difficult to manage and I found it a bit of an effort to brush properly after washing but the Lee Stafford Breaking Hair Detangling Spray♦ has helped enormously. It's so easy to comb through after spraying a little of this on and I really like that it adds a little bit of moisture to my hair, almost like a leave in conditioner, and leaves it feeling super soft. Plus I love the scent of Lee Stafford products and they always linger in my hair for a little while!
At the beginning of the month my skin was super dry and I hadn't quite found the perfect moisturiser to wear with most of my foundations so I was reaching a lot for the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser. I know this is a super popular product in the summer but I love this all year round. I like that it gives really good coverage for a tinted moisturiser and it always looks lovely on the skin. It's pricey but totally worth it!
The second base product is one that I discovered towards the end of the month so this may be cheating slightly, but I love it too much not to include it! I actually won't talk too much about because I've done a full review here but all I'll say is the Liz Earle Signature foundation♦ is one of my top ten products from the whole of the year. It's amazing!
When I've been going for a neutral cheek colour I've been reaching a lot for NARS Douceur powder blush. It's a shade that doesn't look anything special in the pan, but oh my gosh, on the cheeks it's just perfect. It ties together any make up look, really sculpting the cheeks and giving you that really put together but natural look. It's beautiful and I highly recommend it!
On the opposite side of the blush spectrum, when I've been feeling like wearing a bold blush I've been reaching for Illamasqua Powder blush in the shade Tweak. Tweak is a red based hot pink colour and it looks insane in the pan, but a small dusting over the cheeks gives that beautiful I've just stepped in from the cold look. I completely adore it and it's definitely not as scary as it first appears!
When I've been using NARS Douceur blush I like to balance out the look with a bold lip colour and my favourite last month was, without a doubt, Revlon Cherries in the Snow. This is a shade I talk about a lot because it's just so perfect! This is the red lip for people who are a little scared of wearing a full on red lip. It has quite a lot of pink in it and on the lips it's the most beautiful super bright fuchsia with a hint of cherry red. It's perfect for this season!
Similarly when I've been wearing a bright cheek colour I like to go for a more nude lip colour and the one I've been loving recently is the L'Occitane Pivoine Délicate lipstick♦. I've done an entire post dedicated to this lip colour here, so I won't go on too much but it's the most beautiful sheer nude pink that feels super moisturising on the lips!
There are a couple of extra things in my video below, and I would really love it if you would like to watch! I'm really enjoying making YouTube videos, I think it's making me come out of my shell a little bit and although I'm not the best at explaining things and I'm not the most professional person when it comes to video making, I hope you enjoy it!
What were your favourite products or things from last month?
I'd love to know!
