Escaping for an afternoon.
Sometimes, even on the gloomiest of days, it's nice to escape outside for a couple of hours in the afternoon and forget about your seemingly never ending to-do list. We went to the river and got accosted by ducks, angry that we didn't have anything to give them, before finding somewhere to go for a late lunch. It was lovely and just what we needed before heading home to upcycle our old dining tables & chairs, which took forever and turned out to be one of those projects you wish you never started!

DeleteLove your pictures. Back when I lived in London I loved sitting on a bench in the park, just watching ducks. It was perfect to enjoy the city in such a quiet way & took me out of the rush for just a short period of time. :)

DeleteLove this and we had a really similar afternoon today although, my Costa was only a medium because I have only once dared to attempt the large, double handle whopper that they do and I was googling heart palpitations for the rest of the afternoon!! It was the first coffee to defeat me haha. Such a lovely blog... x
ReplyDeleteP.S If you get the time to have a look at our new little blog that would be so great, if not then I shall continue to read yours anyway (not just because of the gorgeous bunny pics!!)

DeleteThis looks like such a lovely wee day! Sometimes the unplanned days are the best- so good to get out and about and clear your mind. We're going to aim to make the most of the good weather (fingers crossed!) for bank holiday Monday tomorrow- just take off somewhere. Here's hoping wherever we end up has chips and massive two-handled mugs like you! Xxx
ReplyDeleteThey are! Aww yay, I hope you had a lovely day <3
