Base Products.
My go-to foundation at the moment is the Bourjois Healthy Mix in shade 51. I think they've recently reformulated/repackaged this foundation and I've had this bottle for a little while so I'm trying to finally use it up. For concealer there's only one I go back to and it's the infamous Collection Lasting Perfection. It's one of those products that just works, you know? I've been setting everything with the Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make Up♦ which offers a little bit of extra coverage while not clinging to any dry patches and making sure everything stays put all day. I recently dug out my Benefit Eye Bright pencil because I hadn't shown it much love over recent months and I was in desperate need of something to make me look a little more awake, oh essays, how I detest how you take up so much time! I like Eye Bright, but I don't think it's an absolute staple in my routine, sometimes I can kind of take it or leave it.
Eyes.
Mascara wise I'm in a but of a rut, my Maybelline The Falsies is about to run out and I'm not really sure what to try next, so if you have any recommendations please leave them in the comments! I'm still completely in love with the Estee Lauder Stay On Shadow Paints♦, I always reach for one of these when I want to wear eyeshadow because they really do what they promise. Eyeshadow wise I rediscovered this little NP Set neutral quad that I got in a swap ages ago. I love these colours so much, I tend to use the first shade all over the lid, the second in the inner corners with the bronze shade in the crease and when I'm in the mood for a bit of liner, the darkest colour is perfect along the lash line & smudged a little. It's beautiful.
Cheeks.
I have been making myself reach for the Illamasqua Blush Duo in Lover & Hussy, it took me a little while to really fall in love with this for some reason, but now I have I really adore both colours and I think they're perfect for spring. The Sienna X Cream to Powder Bronzer & Illuminator♦ is a product I've been trying to use more but I'm just not loving it at the moment. It's not very creamy and it can take a little while to warm up so it applies nicely. I think I'm going to have to try and work with this a little more. My Stila Convertible Colour in Gerbera is my absolute favourite cheek product of the moment, it's the most beautiful peachy nude shade that gives your complexion the perfect glow and it's actually a really nice lip colour too!
Lips.
I was sent this Lime Crime lipstick♦ in Great Pink Planet from the lovely ladies over at Baobella and I'm not really sure what I think of it just yet. The packaging is amazing and the lipstick has a really nice vanilla scent, but I find that it clings to any dry areas of my lips and I'm not completely sure the colour suits my skin tone. Definitely another product I'm going to have to try and work with for a little longer. Topshop lipstick in Brighton Rock is a beautiful shade that's bright but not too bright if that makes sense? It's wearable but one of those colours that really brightens the complexion nicely. For a nude shade I've been loving 17 Beehive, they have repackaged these lipsticks now and I've had this in my collection for a little while so I'm trying to use it up before it expires. I also have 2 pink colours in my make up bag at the moment, one of the L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splashes in Marilyn which gives the most beautiful glossy stain and the Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush♦ that came in a GlossyBox a few months ago. I love these kind of crayon products, they're so easy to apply and although this particular one isn't my favourite, it's nice to have.
What's in your make up bag right now?
xoxo

ReplyDeletefashioncrossing
It's super cute! xo
DeleteSuch a great post! I love the photos. I am super jealous about the Bourjois Healthy Mix and the Collection 2000 concealer. We can't get our hands on it in the US. Have you ever tried NYX Pushup bra for your eyebrows? (Yes, unfortunately that's its name :)) It is supposed to be a dupe for the Benefit Eye bright but a lot cheaper. The site Cherry culture . com has a 40% off NYX sale going on if you wanted to check it out. That is usually when I stock up. I really like the Pushup bra for your eyebrows as it has one side the pink matte highlighter and then a brown eyebrow pencil on the other. Thought it was worth a mention. xx

DeleteI love looking at your make-up collection Jennie (I'm so nosy). I agree about the LimeCrime lipsticks having awesome packaging but I think a lot of the colours are probably a bit too crazy for me! I've recently ordered a couple of the Dainty Doll blushers from Fragrance Direct so I hope they are as good as everyone says! xxx
ReplyDeleteThe colours are pretty insane! Ooh you'll have to let me know how you get on. I've been SO tempted but I'm on a blush buying ban haha xo
DeleteLovely selection of products. I really recommend Lancome Hypnose Drama or Illamasqua Masquara, both are great mascaras :) x

DeleteGreat mix in there! I used to use the pur minerals as my foundation a few years ago and loved it, but found it ran out too quickly :S I like the idea of using it to set and give a bit more coverage though :D xx
ReplyDeletescottishwendy.blogspot.co.uk
It's really great as a setting powder & you don't need to use much that way <3
DeleteI love all your bright lip colors :) I don't think I'd wear anything else :p The Falsies mascara is great too!
ReplyDeleteI really love it :)
DeleteThe Illamasqua blushers are beauts x
ReplyDeleteThe colours are super pretty <3
DeleteThat's a great idea, I need to do that more instead of reaching for same products all the time. Mascara wise,I really recommend bourjois glamour max definition
ReplyDeleteI'll give it a try for sure, thanks sweet! xo
DeleteI keep the makeup I use the most in a makeup bag as well and I love those blushes! So pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteThey remind me of summer just looking at the colours <3
DeleteThis looks like the perfect selection to have in your make-up bag. I feel the same way about Eye Bright - I go through phases of using it a lot and then seem to forget about it for weeks! x
ReplyDeleteIt feels like an extra step that doesn't do much xo
DeleteI want a stila convertible colour so badly! I just never think to look for them when I'm in town. For mascara I really recommend Rimmel's scandaleyes (i use waterproof versions so not sure what normal ones would be like) it's fantastic for every day, really thickens the lashes. For a night out and more dramatic lashes I layer on Maybelline the falsies volume express over the scandaleyes and it's like they were made for each other. So many people think I'm wearing fake lashes.

They are really lovely, I definitely recommend them! Ooh thanks so much for the recommendation lovely! <3
DeleteI love that Topshop lipstick shade, I've always fancied one of their range but been a little dubious about the quality! Hope you've had a lovely long weekend!

They're both amazing for sure! xo
DeleteYour makeup bag is lovely, I like the idea of being able to switch the photos. I definitely need to do this, I've got so many products to use up. I'm with you on the Benefit Eyebright - I used to love it then I discovered Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Vow and I use that religiously so Eyebright doesn't get much of a look in! Dare I say it, I've found a fab concealer that I love more than Collection's Lasting Perfection! Although its a lot pricier - the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer is amazing!! xx
ReplyDeleteOoh I've been SO tempted to try the Bobbi Brown, I almost don't want to in case I fall in love with it! xo
DeleteWe have a lot of the same makeup! Love your blog <3
ReplyDeleteLove the look of that Estee Lauder shadow pot - gorgeous colour. I can totally see you rocking that colour :)
