You know when you really love doing something in particular but you have so many other things going on that you don't have enough time to dedicate as much time to it as you want to and when you finally finish all those other things, you're not really sure where to begin again with that thing you really love? That's how I'm feeling about blogging at the moment. I have so many things to write about but I'm not really sure where to start. It seemed a little wrong, a little too abrupt to jump straight into a review or something without having a little catch up, you know?
So, how are you? I hope you had a lovely weekend. It rained pretty much all weekend here, which isn't quite what I had hoped for, especially because it's June. Hurry up summer, please let us have some sunshine soon! Mark has been working a lot recently, I'm so proud of him but I miss him a lot at the same time. It's times like these that really make you truly appreciate the time you do get to spend with loved ones and how important every minute really is.
I think the same goes for doing those things that make you happy. You don't always get to do those things all the time, but when you can I think it's important to appreciate every minute. I'm hoping to post at least 4 or maybe 5 times a week, not like a specific schedule, but I'm saying this because I find myself getting easily distracted and wasting time not accomplishing very much. I'm also hoping to make one video a week, not always about make up or beauty but silly things, a few clips from the everyday or something - if you have any requests I'd LOVE to hear them! I think online video content is pretty fabulous, it's like TV but sometimes a million times better because it feels a little more personal and relateable. I don't know, I'm totally into it at the moment and I'm excited to really give it a try myself!
Anyway, I won't keep you any longer - I know how busy Monday's can be and I've made myself a very long to-do list (it's the only way I manage to get things done!) that I should get started with. Also, it's Wimbledon season again - yay! Tennis is the only sport I really like watching, I also really loved playing it in P.E lessons at school because I was so terrible, my friend and I would always laugh at how many times I would accidentally hit the ball over the fence and have to walk through prickly bushes to retrieve it. Those are the only good memories of P.E I have, the rest are all bad because when you're a super chubby and very unfit teenager being made to wear super little shorts and run long distances, it's not the best, but that's a whole other story!
Do you have any video requests? I would love you to leave them in the comments below.
They can be about absolutely anything at all!
Also, did you have a lovely weekend?
xoxo
Ahhh, how exciting to be done for the summer!! If I were you I would be grinning like a crazy woman :)

DeleteI understand what you mean :)
ReplyDeleteI personally have always and will always love Monday mornings. It feels like a new start every week, and like finally doing something productive after a weekend of doing nothing or at least nothing that would get me anywhere nearer to my goals in life, haha :D
Have a lovely day!
Maria
That's a really lovely way of looking at Monday's! <3
DeleteSo nice to have a little catch up! I'm completely a list person, I've got about five going at any given time on my phone. Also since moving to England I've gotten more into watching Wimbledon as well since my bf likes watching it. I must say though the eating strawberries and cream tradition for it is more up my street :)
ReplyDeleteOne of the best parts for sure ;) xo
DeleteI would love to see a room or closet tour. -Hanna Marie
ReplyDeleteI'll see what I can do! <3

DeleteWelcome back Jennie! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you lovely <3
DeleteI really like the new layout Jennie! It's a breath of fresh air and perfect timing for a wonderful blogging summer xxx
ReplyDeleteAww thank you so much, Alice <3
DeleteBefore I had Noah I used to feel like I could sleep until the afternoon but like you I never let myself as I don't like wasting the day :) xx
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to really make the most of it <3
DeleteHi, Jennie :) Today I felt exactly the same. I just wanted to lie down and rest and sleep until the afternoon. Sadly I didn't have the same motivation as you did and actually wasted so much of my day :/ I had a lot of errands to run, seems like a waste of day to me. Oh, well. Tomorrow's another chance.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see a video on your favorite foundations, with a focus on ones that have a really good color selection for pale skin. My friends ask me for recommendations on foundations that would suit their pale skins but I don't really know what to tell them.
Hope you're well :)
xx
Errands are definitely no fun! Ooh thank you for the suggestion, I'll definitely do that! <3
DeleteHow exciting that you're finished for the summer, Jennie! What I wouldn't give for a summer 'off' again, onto my second working summer - eek - and I'm absolutely exhausted. I'm not a morning person at all but can totally get what you mean about savouring those opening few hours of the day. I can hardly sleep in nowadays and really like how serene and peaceful 8am is on a Saturday! xx
ReplyDeleteMe too, early saturday mornings are the best <3
DeleteI love your little chatty personal posts like this! Totally the same about sleeping - I slept till 12 today (had to force myself out of bed at 12 as well!) and was fuming because by the time I got ready etc it was 3 o'clock before I even left the house or accomplished anything! Yey for more videos!! <3
ReplyDeleteI think we all have those days! xo
DeleteAww yay for being done for the summer! And I'm the same way with tennis, it's one of the few sports I enjoy watching (oh yes, PE class was a nightmare for me too!)! I'd love to see more videos from you, beauty and/or vlogs :)

Thank you sweet <3
DeleteThe same thing is happening to me right now. I want to blog about loads of things and I also want to do everything I couldn't because of school, but instead I end up doing nothing hahah. I know how you feel about tennis, I'm like that with handball. It's the only sport I enjoy to watch even though I sucked at playing it at school :)x
ReplyDeleteIt's the not knowing where to start I think hehe xo
