Hello, long time no type. It's nice to see you again, I hope you're having a lovely weekend so far. A week is such a long time in the bloggersphere, things seem to change at lightening speed and I'm certainly struggling to keep up.
I'm still kind of stuck in that rut a few weeks back, I'm slowly building the ladder that will hopefully allow me to climb out and dust myself off which is taking longer than I had hoped but you know, it is what it is and it'll take as long as it takes.
I'm a firm believer that there's a reason for everything & from this I've learned just how rare it is to find a friend that will be there to listen whenever you need it, no questions asked. Sometimes things take a little while to work through in your head, sometimes plans take time to come to fruition, and real friends will be there right beside you for as long as it takes. Fake friends won't. They'll think one 'cheer up' will magically make everything better or at least just expect you to pretend to be happy because otherwise you're just an inconvenience. I don't need people like that in my life and now I don't, I feel much better.
Exciting project!
My bestie in the bloggersphere, Carly and I are currently working on something we think is pretty exciting & we'll be telling all very soon but the image on the left is a bit of a clue (yes that is little Ralphie wearing a bow tie - too sweet!!)! I've been really wanting to work with Carly on something for a long time, it took me a few weeks to pluck up the courage to ask because I was crossing my fingers so tightly that she would say yes & when she did I was over the moon!
There's a lot more to it than we first anticipated but that's okay because we're having a lot of fun with it. We have no idea if it will ever end up going anywhere at all, but even if it doesn't I'm just super happy we've had the chance to collaborate on something. And if it does, then we'll be absolutely thrilled!
Carly is such a talented illustrator, she has the ability to read jumbled emails from me, that never really make a lot of sense, and turn them into the most beautiful illustrations while adding her own incredible ideas into the mix too that I never would have thought of in a million years. Thank you for being so amazing, Carly!
Home.
Mark and I have been talking a lot about our plans for the future over the past week and it's really nice to know that we share the same hopes and goals. He recently got a promotion at work, which he thoroughly deserves because he always works so hard and I'm so unbelievably proud of him. It also means that some of our dreams aren't as far away as I once thought they were. I'm so excited for the next few years!
In less exciting news...
Unfortunately I have to go back to the dentist tomorrow for a filling, needless to say I'm not looking forward to it at all. It doesn't help that my dentist isn't particularly friendly, most of them are really nice apparently but I got the mean one, typical! At least I won't have to try and make polite small talk though I suppose, which I always fail miserably at - I always end up saying something completely ridiculous or I get tongue-tied and end up embarrassing myself. Always the awkward one.
I'll be spending this afternoon catching up on replying to comments, I'm super behind again but I'm for sure looking forward to catching up on your posts! I've missed reading blogs over the past week but I must admit I'm a little scared to see over on Bloglovin' just how many unread posts I have!
How are you? Are you having a lovely Sunday?
xoxo
Aha, my old dentist was really weird and my mum couldn't stand him! I'm really excited about our project too! I hope we can bring it all together and that people will like it and enjoy the characters - they are sure to love Ralphie though! <3 xxx

DeleteHope your dentist appointment goes well... I sadly had a very moody dentist when I was getting my braces a few years ago - they used to laugh at me when I'd ask questions. So glad I was a woman in my 30s because I can imagine younger girls and boys would've been made so uncomfortable by their behaviour!
