2. I'm braving the crowds in the shops today to pop out and buy a few last Christmas gifts. As I get older I seem to leave everything until the last minute although I'm still hopeful I'll change into a super organised person one day!
3. My blog survey for this year is still open and I really do appreciate any comments, advice or feedback! It's really helpful to know what's working and what's not working so well from a different perspective and I'm definitely taking everything on board. If you'd like to answer a few (or all) of the questions please click here!
4. I think I've managed to get far enough ahead with work to take a full week off for Christmas and even if I haven't, I'm still taking the week off & I'll worry about catching up at a later date! I have some reading to do for Uni but when that reading consists of wonderful children's books I don't think it really counts as work!
5. After my last minute shopping today I'm going to have a super relaxing rest of the weekend. Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to start thinking about my resolutions for next year & how I'm going to go about achieving them. I don't often make resolutions because I'm notorious for breaking them, but I'm feeling pretty positive about the ideas I have in mind & I'll share them soon!
Love Jennie

I completed your blog survey the other day so I hope that helps in some small way :) I'm glad I've finished all my shopping because I can't stand the crazy crowds up in town, it's madness! I hope you have a lovely Christmas Jennie, you definitely deserve a good break and some rest :) I'm sure I'll be emailing you soon enough with more illustrations hehe! <3 <3 xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much sweet! It definitely pays to be organised like you, next year I think I'll try and take a lead out of your book and not put things off hehe. I'm super excited to see them <3 <3
DeleteSuch a good idea to take time off uni work for Christmas, because I have a lot of reading and essays it's hard to know when to stop working and I usually feel guilty for taking days off but you've convinced me to take a week off to do Christmassy things instead :)

DeleteI hope you enjoy your week off! I'm going into work on Monday, but then have the rest of the week off. I've got a fair bit of paperwork to catch up on so I'm going to go in early to try to get on top of it. But if I don't, oh well, it's Christmas! :D

Merry Christmas, Hollie <3 xo
DeleteI think organisation is mostly a matter of starting things early. Mind you, I still found myself dashing out for a last-minute gift as it was mentioned in passing that a distant relative would be spending Christmas day with us! Start early, keep a list of what you've bought for who (and where you've hidden it) and wrap as soon as you hit December :)
ReplyDeleteI want to get organised enough to have a drawer full of birthday cards--I am hoping that card shops do January sales?!--stamps--before the price goes up again--and to actually remember to post them at the right time!!
Hope you're enjoying your Christmas xx
