I like that there's the little bag inside again, I found my last one surprisingly handy and it makes a nice change from the usual shredded paper. I like things that are a little bit different. I must admit that I was a little disappointed at first, I'm not sure what I was expecting but I guess I was just hoping for a little more excitement. After looking at the products a little more though, there are definitely a few things I'm super excited about...
Aroma Works Serenity Body Oil (£32.50 for the full size)
This is a blend of lemongrass, neroli, geranium and organic coconut oil. The combination of essential oils is supposed to free the mind of the stresses of the day and uplift spirits. This isn't something that really excites me but I'm definitely going to give it a try to see what it's like considering the full size is so pricey. It definitely smells really luxurious!
English Laundry by Christopher Wicks No. 7 For Her perfume (£47)
Usually perfume samples in beauty boxes aren't my cup of tea, but I have to admit that I really like this one! It's a really fresh scent with top notes of pear and jasmine. It seems to be a pretty exclusive brand, I can't find anywhere to purchase this particular fragrance online but if you do spot it anywhere, it's one to try for sure.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More pore refiner (£39 for the full size)
This promises to hide and refine pores while instantly mattifying shine and absorbing excess oil. This sounds like a really fabulous product that would create a really nice base for make up if you have oily skin. I'll be passing this on to someone who I think it will suit more than me!
Korres Citrus Body Milk (£9.50)
Korres is a brand I've always wanted to try but haven't so I'm really excited to finally be able to. I'm not sure if I love the scent, I don't mind it though so I'm hopeful that it'll be really moisturising. I'm looking forward to giving it a try!
Benefit Stay Don't Stray (£20.50 for the full size)
This is the first of Lulu's picks for the box this month and I think it's one of the products I'm most excited about. This promises to ensure that both eyeshadow and concealer stays put all day. I don't wear eyeshadow but I'm definitely intrigued to see how this works with under eye concealer. This wouldn't be something I would pick up, but that's what beauty boxes are for!
Lulu Guinness Rock
Lulu's second addition to the box this month is a stick of rock. It's black and white striped design inspired her spring/summer 2014 collection. This was promptly eaten by my boyfriend and he said it was pretty good!
Overall I think this was another good box. There are a couple of things I'm not so excited about but the other products more than make up for those!
Are you subscribed to Birchbox?
What do you think of this month's box?

DeleteWhat exactly is body milk? That essential oil looks interesting :3 I was at Whole Foods and I was going to buy a bottle of peppermint extract (to take to work with me; my desk is next to this bathroom with a weird sewer smell to it-- try sitting there for 12 hours lol!), but I almost fainted when I saw the price tag.
ReplyDeleteJust a body moisturiser <3
Deletewoah ! a lot of these products look pretty amazing! esp the dr brandt and korres ones. i really want to try both those brands more but haven't really gotten the chance lately.
ReplyDeletei agree about the 'laughing about yourself' thing. i think we can all take ourselves way too seriously. life is short. nothing is really so dire that we can't laugh a little about it.
