I thought I'd take this chance to write a few miniature reviews on some of the products I've used up or decided to give away. Sometimes short reviews are the best kind and I really like writing them. I don't think any of these are awful products, some of them just don't work so well for me.
I've managed to accumulate so many tubes of this hand cream and although I love it, I'm never going to get through all of them so I'm passing a few on to friends. Really affordable, super nourishing and it has antibacterial properties in there too which I think is a fabulous idea. It's not my favourite hand cream in the world, but for under £3 it's pretty good!
Garnier Summer Body (£5)
This is an almost empty bottle that I've had for far too long. I do really like using this in the summer because I'm one of those people that goes bright red and then straight back to pale without getting even a hint of a tan. As soon as the weather starts to get a little bit warmer I'll be heading out to pick up a couple of new bottles.
Good Things Soothing Body Butter & Good Things Ultra Rich Body Butter
I'm not sure if Good Things still make their body butters, I haven't seen them for a long time, but I really loved these. The scents are so fruity and summery, they instantly remind me of warm summer evenings and good times. I also loved how moisturising they are without being greasy.
Alison Claire Mango Body Butter* (£7.99)
I got this in a GlossyBox last year and I've really enjoyed using it. The mango scent is truly stunning and it absorbs into my skin really nicely. Made with 70% natural ingredients and it's not tested on animals. I can see myself repurchasing this one, especially in the summer for my legs. Perfect summery scent!
Naked Be Smooth Cocoa Butter Body Cream
This has been in my cupboard untouched for much longer that it should have. I used to really love it and I think during a sale or something I went a little crazy and ended up with so many tubes. I'm just a little bored of the scent now and this is something that's probably way past its use by date. I'm not sure Naked make this anymore, but if they do I think it's a nice, light body moisturiser.
Naked Coco De Mer Body Butter (£4.99)
Really like the scent of this one, it's delicate but it lingers on the skin nicely for a few hours. This is another one I've had a lot of tubs of in the past and I didn't quite manage to finish this one before it went over its use-by date. I like it, but I don't love it.
Nip & Fab Dry Leg Fix* (£10.25)
This was another beauty box find for me and I blooming LOVE it! During the winter the skin on my legs gets really dry and nothing has ever helped as much as this has. It's quite pricey and for that reason I probably wouldn't have picked it up on my own, but a little goes such a long way and I would happily invest in another tube in time for next winter!
Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser (£3.56)
This is my second tube of this. The first tube was sent to me and I couldn't really make my mind up on it so I purchased another bottle. I'm still not really sure what I think about it. I do like it, the classic nivea scent is really lovely and it's definitely slightly more hydrating that most shower gels. But I do still have to use a moisturiser when I get out of the shower. Perhaps this will be nice during the summer when my skin is a little less dry.
Nougat Sparkling Body Shimmer* (£14)
This came in a recent GlossyBox and although I haven't tried it, it's probably not something I'll get a lot of use of so I'm going to pass it along to a friend. I'm just not that into sparkly body lotions and I have a lot of moisturisers that I need to use up so I'd rather this went to someone who might enjoy it!
***
It feels really good to have a little clear out. The last thing I need to tackle is my make up collection. I have a feeling that there are going to be a lot of lip glosses that need to be thrown out, but we'll see how well I do with the rest of my collection!
Do you have a favourite body product?

I also love using Garnier's Summer Body in the warmer months, its pretty fool proof to apply :)

It's been really refreshing to clear some things out! xo
DeleteI'm one of those people who go bright red to pale in summer without a tan too, so I'll have to pick up some of that Garnier lotion when the sun comes out! I love the sound of the Nip + Fab product too, my legs go so horribley dry and scaley when it's cold.

It's so so good for that! xo
DeleteI'm so rubbish with body care and moisturisers - I always just forget about it! I don't have much patience for waiting for moisturisers to sink in, I always just want to get dressed super quickly! I did buy some aloe vera gel though so I'm going to see if I can remember to put that on every morning :) xxx
ReplyDeleteOoh that sounds lovely! xo
DeleteYeah I doubt I'd use the shimmer body moisturiser either; I love the sound of the carex hand cream though! moisturising and anti-bacterial in one - amazing. :) Wendy xx

DeleteMy favourite product is still, and always will be, Palmers Cocoa Butter. I do like the sound of the Nivea moisturising shower gel stuff; good for mornings when you're running late...
ReplyDeletePalmers products have a lovely scent! Xo
DeleteIt's been an age since I used body butter but I have to take care of myself before summer arrives! x

DeleteI really need to do this with my nailpolish. So many of them are dried up and hard now.
ReplyDeleteuntitled&unfinshed
It's so nice to get rid of the ones that are like that! xo
DeleteI'm definitely with you on the pale front; don't think I ever have (or ever will) get a tan! I tried the Garnier Summer body last year and it went all streaky down my arms as I applied it in a rush and haven't used it since. Definitely want to have another go this year as even though I'm happy to be pale skinned, a hint of a glow would be quite nice :)
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I really love Burt Bee's almond milk hand cream, the smell is divine! <3
Sophie | soinspo
I did that once, not a good look hehe! Definitely give it another go though! xo
DeleteSuch a great idea, I should get to spring cleaning my products as well! x
