2. Reusing empty Neal's Yard jars as tea light holders. The blue glow is beautiful.
3. Over 100 wonderful humans subscribing to The Book Journal already. I'm speechless!
4. Hot vegetable soup, with a big chunk of bread. SO good!
5. Sarah Kay's TED Talk
6. New books - to read a little more about them, click here!
7. Getting organised! There's something about the month of September that encourages me to properly file things away and plan my time better. I'm hoping it'll last longer than the few weeks it usually does before I slip back into my messy ways!
8. Wednesday evenings = Bake Off time! Hopefully there will be no repeats of last week's shenanigans. It's a nice show about baking cakes, totally not cool that they edited it to cause drama!
9. Puppy sitting for my mama and listening to his little snores. So cute!
10. Early nights. I'm usually such a night owl, but being tucked up in bed before 10 isn't so bad!
What has been making you happy recently?
xoxo
That cake looks delicious! Puppies <3

ReplyDeleteI didn't watch GBBO but it was brilliant seeing Twitter go into meltdown at what was happening!

DeleteAaah, your cake for your boyfriend is awesome! Took me a few seconds to see the '30's in caramel and in the icing sugar - he's one lucky man :) I'm a big fan of early nights too, and putting tealights in old Neal's Yard bottles is a genius idea! xx

DeleteI am SO ADDICTED to the British Bake Off this year. I didn't follow it a lot last year, but I'm totally sucked into it this year. It's just amazing what they are able to bake, even without knowing what they should actually bake :)
ReplyDeleteSeptember is all about organizing for me as well. Just refilled my filofax calendar. My obsession with washi tape finally has found a creative outlet, wohoo!
Ahh I know - I would be so clueless! Yayy for washi tape <3 xx
DeleteAww such a beautiful post Jennie! What a gorgeous cake, I'm sure Mark was thrilled :) Hope he had a lovely birthday. I was just going to say you should be on GBBO and then saw that was featured on your list, hehe ;) I'm with you on early nights, they can make you feel so much more refreshed and willing for the next day. I'm so horrendous with getting to bed, mostly up until 2 or 3 unintentionally (not sure how I manage to do it) but am determined to get into a better pattern as I'm getting these awful shadows under my eyes! o.O
