- Set up my new desk &
attempt tokeep it tidy. I'm going to pick it up today and I'm ridiculously excited to have my own workspace that's not the kitchen table or the sofa. Am I finally becoming a real grownup? I hope so! - When inspiration hits, write! It doesn't matter if it ends up not being very good at all.
- Read some non-fiction. I'm very choosy with it, to the point where I almost never end up reading any, but it's definitely time to branch out a little.

I get the desk thing, I wish I had the room for one, there's just something really lovely about having a space that's just yours to work at and arrange. I hope to see some updates on any non-fiction that you find that's worth reading :)

Absolutely! xxx
DeleteI've got a fun day of tidying and de-cluttering my flat ahead of me today so keeping it tidy is on my to-do list! I'd also like to get back to reading more - I haven't read a book in about 2 months which is ridiculous. Hope this is the start of a lovely month for you :) x
ReplyDeleteThank you lovely, I hope it's a good one for you too! xx
DeleteI definitely need to start reading more non-fiction as well. When I read a biography I really enjoy it, but actually making the effort to pick one out is hard.

I'm exactly the same! xx
DeleteLooks like you've got a very good to-do list, there. This month I need to keep myself fully organised with all my mini uni deadlines, and enjoy my birthday! Hopefully that last one should be preeeeetty easy :) xx
ReplyDeleteAhh I hope so too! xx
DeleteThis month I want to stop time while I'm visiting London and stay there forever ;) On a more serious note, I want to finally make some changes to my blog that I've been wanting to do for a year. Indecisiveness at its best :D
ReplyDeleteHaha oh how I wish that were possible! Excited to see the changes that you're going to make, I'm sure they'll be fabulous! xx
DeleteI think reading more fiction should be on my list, the only thing I ever read these days are business books and historical biographies!
ReplyDeleteCatherine, xo || Lady Liquor
I bet they're both incredibly interesting! xx
DeleteI am exactly the same when it comes to reading non-fiction, it has to be something that really interests me. My October to do list includes finally re-writing the essay I'm supposed to be giving in for English, whoops! xxx
ReplyDeleteHehe good luck with the re-write! xxx
DeleteI tried reading more non-fiction before (a couple of times!) I still find it quite hard though!
ReplyDeleteI think it's all about finding the right topic x
DeleteOooh, I'd love a desk! Unfortunately I live with my boyfriend's parents, and we have nowhere to put one (or nowhere we're allowed to put one, anyway!). And yes, a desk is the definitive sign of being an adult!
ReplyDeleteBeth x
Oh no, but at least you can look forward to a time when you'll be able to have one in the future! xx
DeleteI think I agree with all of these! I'm terrible when it comes to writing, ever since starting uni I've pretty much stopped, I have to write so much for uni & my blog that I just don't want to write for me anymore! xx
ReplyDeleteIt can be difficult to fit everything in where there are lots of things we feel we need to do. What we want to do can so easily fall to the bottom of the to-do list xx
DeleteI thought buying a desk would make me super productive but it's just some extra space to hold more mess in my room, maybe I'm not quite ready for organisation yet :') Nice to do list, hope you have an inspiring month! I think my to-do list will just be numerous attempts to manage my time wisely
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling I may follow in your footsteps once the novelty has worn off hehe xx
DeleteI really need to get my desk organised!

I've been told that a tidy desk = a tidy mind. It's working so far! xx
DeleteGreat to do list! I hope that everything of this list is crossed off! xo

Thank you! xx
DeleteIm craving a desk again! :( I'm having to blog sat on my bed at the moment which sucks.
ReplyDeleteRun with your inspiration, its the most wonderful feeling.

Oh no! I hope you get one soon, I totally know the feeling of having to blog from bed, it's not always as comfortable as it sounds! xx
DeleteTidy is definitely one of mine! I pretty much let everything go on the run up to my time off, so now I've got to get back into it for October.
ReplyDeleteAnd get back to the gym - same reasons as above! :)
Em | Hmm maybe...
Good luck with your goals, I'm sure you'll ace them! xx
DeleteI'd like to get my flat organised in October - after painting a couple of rooms in our first week here I feel like we ran out of steam, but we've ordered some new furniture and I'm excited to get back on track to making it feel like our home. I'd also like to drink more water and eat less sugar - but these are on my to-do lists every month and I never really manage it!
ReplyDeletex
Ooh that sounds very exciting! <3
DeleteIt's so exciting that you've received your new desk - enjoy setting it up! Arranging everything exactly how you like it can be so much fun xx

Thank you!! xxx
DeleteI hardly ever read non-fiction, I really should change that!
ReplyDeleteI think it's all about finding the right topic, I'm looking forward to exploring a whole new genre! xx
DeleteOoh, I'd be really interested to see what non-fiction you pick out, Jennie! I read a book on the female criminals of the Holocaust in the summer - morbid and horrific in places, but seriously interesting. xx
ReplyDeleteThere are so any incredibly interesting books out there, I'm looking forward to delving in! xx
