Reading more about the campaign has made me realise that I really don't do enough and it's time that I started being more conscious of the brands I'm choosing to buy from. It can often be difficult to sift through and find brands that are completely cruelty free and even then there can be issues with parent companies etc. But there are lots of fabulous cruelty free companies out there offering wonderful products and I think I could find alternatives to some of my favourite products that are from brands that aren't. Maybe this will be a personal goal for next year.
This campaign has also meant that The Body Shop have reminded me of how wonderful their products are. They kindly gifted me their Colour Crush Lipstick in 101 Red Siren and their Shimmer Waves in 01 Bronze. I'm a bit scared of bright red lip colours, but a little blended out really well gives a pretty rose stain that's incredibly wearable. A shimmery bronze blush wouldn't have been something I would have picked up on my own but again, a little blended out over my cheeks adds a touch of colour and a real glow from within kind of look.
What are your favourite products from The Body Shop?
I think I'll be trying a few more things over the coming months.

P.S. The Body Shop Discount Codes.

I wish companies would be more transparent about animal testing, consumers shouldn't have to dig through information online to work out who does and who doesn't. Some of those that don't, like The Body Shop do a good job of raising awareness but I think companies can certainly do more to use alternative humane methods. Great post! I think this look really suits you! xx

DeleteReally like the packaging of the lipstick and it looks lovely on you! I really should look into brands better regarding cruelty too - something I might try and do in the new year as well! xx

<3 thank you! x
DeleteI think bronzey blushes are great for winter looks. I think in England it's a lot easier to tell cruelty free products than it was in America, I think it's good things are properly labeled, but I think in this day and age animal testing should be obsolete by now.
ReplyDeleteIt really should, I agree! x
