May was my birthday month and my favourite gift was this beautiful peace lily house plant. I had been reading about plants that can help to improve air quality and the rich green leaves & crisp white flowers of the peace lily stole my heart. It's such an elegant plant and there's something about it having it around that I find inexplicably very calming. Perfect.

I love lillies but can't have them anymore as they are poisonous to cats. The leaves are so beautifully luscious though, I must find an alternative as you're right they are incredibly calming to have around. P.s. Happy Belated Birthday! x

^ Yikes, I totally didn't know that. I guess I'll have to better separate the lily and the cat...
DeleteHappy belated Birthday! What a lovely plant, the leaves look so healthy and calming xx

That peace lily is really lovely, I completely understand what you mean when you say that you find it calming. I'm going to hunt one down for myself, thank you for such wonderful inspiration.

I am not good at keeping plants alive even though I know the benefits of having them around the house. Your lily plant is lovely though, are they difficult to take care of? Happy belated birthday by the way :). xo
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty!! And holy guacamole, I'm in love with the light behind it too!

Happy belated birthday! This coming school year I'm planning to get [low-maintenance] succulents for my dorm room. And maybe once a month I'll treat myself to a fresh bunch of flowers :) We'll see how my wallet fares haha. (and I love Florence + The Machine! Totally underrated artist!) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
