Gone are my days of trying to squeeze hundreds of products into three sets of acrylic drawers as most of my make up now fits inside a smallish box. But not my blush collection. Oh no. That has a box all of its own. And yet I use maybe five or six on a somewhat regular basis.
There are some I'm holding on to for sentimental reasons; a purchase made when MAC was a big deal, the Dior Rosy Glow that I received as a gift after looking at it for weeks and weeks. There are some long past their best things in here that I don't use and should probably part with; the much coveted Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow that I open up and look at every once in a while, Illamasqua Promise Cream Blush that was my favourite for so long and reminds me of being twenty two. And there are things that I love right now; Too Faced Baby Love with its Polly Pocket heart shaped packaging that I bought in New York, the now discontinued but forever perfect NARS Douceur.
Little pans of colour. So many memories.

I love blush too! I used to have so many but then I realised that I wasn't using all of them and I gave them to friends. Now I only have the famous "Coralista" from Benefit and another one from Too Faced called "Cocoa Rose". I do want to buy a cream blush but there is so much choice and I don't know what to pick as I only want to have one. Any recommendations? :D
ReplyDeleteI really love the Stila cream blushes, they feel so light on the skin!

DeleteYou are the blush queen - that is undisputed! I love blushers though, they can just brighten up your face so quickly and easily, definitely a desert island item for me :) ♥ xxx

DeleteIf anyone knows their blush, it's you! It's lovely to see you go back to the basics...kinda.
ReplyDeleteHaha! x
DeleteIt's crazy how attached we can become to something like blush, until the past year or two I would have thought it crazy to have some emotional feelings towards a beauty product! I definitely need to do something similar, as there are many products in my collection that I hold onto for maybe less than a good reason, and I can see here you've been quite ruthless in your decision making which is always inspiring and motivating! x

Thank you!
DeleteWow, what a collection I still hold on to some make-up for sentimental reasons - it reminds me of when I first started blogging even though these days I rarely buy high-end make-up! x
ReplyDeleteMe either, it's funny how we change over time! x
DeleteI love this!! I'm still mourning the loss of Douceur, why would NARS discontinue such a perfect shade!?

DeleteI want the polly pocket blusher!!
ReplyDeleteT xx
Blush is definitely one of my favourite beauty products, and sometimes it's hard to let go of products that have sentimental value, but when they bring you so much joy and aren't hurting anyone who cares? You enjoy your box of blush! :)
