Glossybox + Birchbox • March 2016

A few minutes ago the postman arrived with the March Glossybox and March Birchbox and I had a little bit of extra time, so I thought I would do something vaguely productive with it. And so here I am with two posts in one day. It's almost as though I'm actually getting back into this whole blogging thing.

This Works Pillow Spray in Sleep Plus

When we were in New York my boyfriend bought a lavender pillow spray for his mum from Bath & Body Works that she loves, and we've been looking for something similar so seeing a little sample of the This Works pillow spray was a really pleasant surprise. I think he's already bought her a full size of the deep sleep version, but now she'll be able to try the sleep plus too.

ARROW is a paraben free, cruelty free + vegan brand from Birchbox and it took approximately 0.3 seconds for me to have whipped this lip balm out of the box and smothered it on to my lips. It's one of those balms that adjusts to your PH and it's really quite pink on me. I haven't worn anything other than a nude gloss for months because I've become really intolerant of anything even vaguely uncomfortable on my lips, so this is perfect. It's an incredibly lightweight balm that gives me quite a lot of colour, it's the perfect combination.

• Olay Regenerist Luminous Skin Tone Perfecting Cream
• Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum
• -417 Catharsis Vitamin Mineral Shampoo + Conditioner
• Collection Speedy Highlighter in Pearl Sheen
• Luxie Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush

Highlighting isn't usually a step that features in my daily make up routine, but this one from Collection is so beautiful and not too over the top. It's definitely something I can see myself using, but I probably wouldn't have been drawn to it in the shop so it's nice to be able to try something a bit different.

The Luxie brush is very sweet. I have a feeling that my mum might steal it off me at some point because she's on a bit of a quest to find the perfect make up brush for her blusher. This one might be a contender and it feels quite soft.

There are a couple of really good things in each box along with a few other things that either aren't quite as exciting or that suited to my skin type, so I think it's a bit of a tie this month. What do you think of the boxes this month?

  3. Olay Regenerist? They really don't look at your age and stuff before they pack your box do they? Maybe I just expect too much!
I like the sound of that pillow spray though, lavender soothes me so much.

    1. Haha I dunno, I think my forehead lines are appreciative ;)

  4. Oooh the brush looks lovely! I really like the sound of the Hey Honey serum, too :)

  6. That brush looks super pretty! I really don't use many make up brushes but I'd make an exception for a lovely rose gold one :) xxx
